Healthcare is an essential human need. Just as important is finding an insurance company that will give you the great healthcare that you deserve. With so many different healthcare companies sprouting up today, each with its own gimmicks and offers, it can actually be difficult to choose between them all. One health insurance company that you owe it to yourself to take a look at though is Aetna HMO.

Article Overview: When you're trying to find cheap car insurance options, there are a number of methods that you can use to get your rates down. To diminish your risks, you can look into special discounts that your car insurance company offers. Discounts vary by insurer, but in general, discounts are provided for drivers of very safe vehicles, or drivers who take steps to improve their driving habits and abilities. If you install anti theft devices in your vehicle, for example, you'll save on comprehensive car insurance coverage. If you take driving classes, you may also be able to get a discount.

When you're trying to find cheap car insurance options, there are a number of methods that you can use to get your rates down.

Selecting lower amounts of coverage is another option. The cheapest car insurance policies go to drivers who pay for no more than the minimum amounts required by their states of residence. However, you may be required to buy additional coverage if you're leasing your vehicle or buying it through a loan. There's also a definite risk when driving with low amounts of car insurance coverage; if you're buying $10,000 of liability coverage with a $600 deductible, and you're involved in an accident that causes $20,000 worth of damage, you'll be paying at least $10,600 out of pocket. The savings from paying for less coverage won't compare to your expenses in an accident.

One of the most effective ways to find cheap policies is to head online and look at your options for insurance. Look at car insurance quote websites, and try to find the cheapest possible policy given your driving history and the vehicle that you own. By looking at all of your options, you can force down the cost of your car insurance. You can get additional discounts by negotiating with a few insurance agents, effectively forcing a price war over your policy. By using a few or all of these methods, any driver can find a cheap insurance policy.

Health insurance Health insurance - And as far as unplanned expenses, I'd like to suggest that everybody go right out and get health insurance if you don't have it already. As well as long-term disability insurance. Regardless of whether you run your own business or not, you simply can't afford to be without health insurance.
Your own illness over business Your own illness over business - Along with "major" problems with family members, another concern is your own health. Last week I was sicker'n a dog for two days, and lost a lot of time that I could ill afford. Since I'm an entrepreneur, all on my own, I had no one who could pick up the slack on my many projects. And I don't have long term health insurance, for if I'm involved in a car wreck, etc. (Knock on wood that doesn't happen.) But when you're the only one in your business, your health, and your health insurance, are important factors to consider.

It is very dangerous for people to not have health insurance, dental insurance, etc., yet those of us who are self-employed have a tendency to not buy it because we can't afford it. I, for example, don't have any coverage of any kind. But, I'm reasonably healthy, have no kids who need coverage, etc. Perhaps a better question would be - if you don't have coverage, why not? Too expensive? You're superstitious, etc?[/quote:20rus3mw] Hi Barbara, Well I live in Ontario, so I already have free health insurance (OHIP)... but I don't have any dental coverage and I have to pay for my own drugs/medication, etc. To answer your question, I guess the reason I don't have any additional coverage is that I just don't know where to start. For instance, what's a good company to buy a plan from?
