Height Weight Chart - Gauging Your Life Insurance Risk Factors
Health questions and inquiries are common practice amongst life insurance agents and companies. The truth is the healthier lifestyle the prospective life insurance member has, the more benefits and lower premiums they qualify for. Height and weight queries are generally found on all life insurance forms. Whether requesting information online, or going the traditional route and visiting an agent or a life insurance facility, your height and weight will be used to determine what kind of policy you qualify for, and how much you are going to pay in premiums because of that height and weight.
Height and weight have a very specific relationship with life insurance companies and the policies they offer. While life insurance policies are based on a variety of features, including: occupation, lifestyle tendencies, family necessity, and health, weight and height are also factors and can have an enormous effect on the final cost and benefit of a life insurance policy.
Weight and height can offer important information about the current or future health of a policyholder. Being overweight or underweight can offer a precursor of serious chronic medical conditions including: heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer and ultimately, death. It is for these very reasons that life insurance companies view overweight and underweight individuals as high risk investments. One of two things will occur if a life insurance company believes the prospective member is a high risk venture. The first is that coverage will be expensive; policies and premiums will be costly for the policyholder. The second result is that the potential policyholder could be denied life insurance altogether. Where do you rate in the life insurance analysis on height and weight and risk level?

A healthy diet that includes plenty of whole grains, vegetables and fruits will help reduce extra weight gain. By controlling weight, you remain in charge of your own financial future and can help control life insurance premiums and benefits.
