A Focus on Strengths nets Higher Returns

Most leaders, when presented with their 360 feedback/assessment results, focus in on their lowest scores, scrambling to find strategies to overcome their weaknesses.

If you want to achieve results, this approach is not useful.

Extraordinary Leaders produce a return on investment 2 to 4 times higher than that of average performers by focusing on their strengths (Zenger, John H. and Folkman, J. The Extraordinary Leader. Extraordinary Leaders score in the top 10% of all leaders, in four or more leadership competencies. - Hold leaders accountable for implementing their learnings right away. Ongoing work and learn leadership team sessions can cultivate a culture of strength development in the organization, leading to those higher returns in a relatively short period of time.
