A Leader's Guide to the Galaxy

In the BBC broadcast 'A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' people were in search for the ultimate answer to their life and the universe. The computer 'Deep Thought' was built to answer this fundamental question for nobody felt able to do so. After 7,5 million years of working on the question, Deep Thought was ready to give the answer, expecting that no one would like it. Because the answer was forty-two. "Forty-two!" yelled Loonquaw, a descendent of a person who built Deep Thought. "Is that all you have got to show for seven and a half million years' work?" "I checked it very thoroughly," said the computer, and that quite definitely is the answer. I think the problem, to be quite honest with you, is that you have never actually known what the question is."

At eighteen years old your convictions are hills from which you look at the world. They give you a good view and the courage to go forward and conquer the world. At forty-five, these hills have become caves in which you hide, you do not want to be challenged, you believe to know it all, you believe you have seen it all. Think again! Are you really sure you are asking the right questions for the challenges you are facing? And, are you prepared to listen to answers you might not want to hear and get out of your cave of conditioning? Give it a deep thought! Inspiring questions provide inspiring visions. They energize you and your people to get out of bed every morning because you cannot wait to work at it, to see it grow, to experience goose-pimples when you touch people's lives and realize your vision. It is your thoughts and feelings that create your reality. Make sure they are uplifting, energizing and inspirational, all the time. The rest will take care of itself!
