The Secret of Success

"Master, can you tell me what the secret of success is?" asked a student. "The secret of success is to follow your goal in life with dedication, passion and discipline", replied the master.

"But how do I know what my goals in life is?" "Everybody", claimed the master," is born with a unique set of talents and capabilities which enable us to realize our lifework. The challenge is to find out what you can do better than anybody else, develop this skill and serve others with what makes you so special."

"But what about making a living and earning money?", asked the student further. "Money and all good things have a way of showing up around 'contribution', because they are the currency through which people show that they are enrolled in the possibility of what you are offering. Money as such will never make you happy without linking contribution to it."

"But master, the world is full of people who do similar jobs in similar companies, fighting to differentiate themselves from their competitors to earn a living." "Your observation", nodded the master, "is quite true. Yet, that many are behaving like this does not change the principles according to which the universe operates. If their work is not based on their specific talents, there will be no flow of money for 'contribution' and in turn no joy and happiness."
