Case Study:
Nike' has a commercial with Athlete WarHawk Matt Scott. It opens with the shot on Mike located in a basketball gym. Although the shot is from his chest up, it is obvious that he is dribbling two basketballs simultaneously. Additionally, Mike's physique is impeccable, showing broad shoulders, perfect traps, well-carved triceps, boulder biceps, and large pecs.
Instantly, this dribbling athlete is looking at the camera and begins with "I'm too weak." The shot angle changes and he is heard saying, "...too slow." With another immediate angle, we hear, "...too big..."
Within fifty seconds, over fifty-five excuses are spoken. All the while, it is apparent that this person is exceptional at handling a basketball. With nine seconds remaining, Mike stops speaking and the camera zooms out to reveal that Mike is confined to a wheelchair. He simply turns his chair and exits the gym without a uttering another word.

Ask the group
- "Why would such a commercial come across so powerfully?"
- "What relevance does this have to do with our jobs?"
"There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results." ~ Art Turock
