Everyone knows that social media is the big buzz word in online marketing, is it for you right now. I would look at Facebook first because in the next few years Facebook will replace Google as the place to go to advertise and get leads. Right now there are over 500,000,000 users and the projection is to go over a billion in the years to come. With the ability to tie all the social media outlets together makes it one of the cheapest forms of advertising online right now. If your in this online business arena to make money and expand your email list ( which is where the money is ) you better be using these programs to grow, and grow fast. Although, Facebook is by far the largest of the social media platforms twitter and youtube will compliment your program and can be tied directly to your website. When you look at the benefits of belonging to these social media sites such as: greater exposure for you personally and that will only enhance your personal branding ( personal branding to be covered in a future article), you meet people on a level playing field and by joining groups you can target your marketing even finer, once you have things set up you don't have to spend hours and hours online because you have them all connected- makes it quicker to stay in touch. These are just a few reasons for looking at Social Media as the focus of your marketing, but don't forget that you need to do other forms also. The key to your marketing is to drive traffic to your website and to have them optin to your mailing list. I believe if you are marketing online, you need to use Social Media marketing as a major part of your program.
