You're reading this article because you want to know how to REALLY generate free leads on Facebook for your MLM business. Good thing for you is that you do not have to buy an ebook because I am going to give you everything for free. I am not going to give you a bunch of theory but strategies that actually work.

Please understand this one thing, Facebook is a social networking site. That being said it does take time to build up your lead count meaning you will not have an abundance of leads over night. You MUST be consistent with this.

Most people in network marketing still treat Facebook as a place for spam. I can't tell you how many times I get an email, private message, or posting on my wall about joining another MLM company. This is wrong, wrong, WRONG. If you are doing this stop right now. So obviously my top strategy is.....

1. DO NOT SPAM AT ALL AT ANYTIME. Not in your status updates, emails, or chats. I think you know why by now.

2. Make your profile available for anyone to see. If you are comfortable with anybody seeing your page this will open up so many doors for you. People are able to read about you before they request you as a friend. So many times I get people that request me as a friend because they like my profile. You get more friend requests this way too.

3. Make sure your profile pic is of you smiling, having fun, looking good, etc. Be attractive and confident in all that you do since you never know who is watching you.

4. Make sure your website links are going to your blog, twitter profile, and YouTube channel. Do not send them to a landing page because people don't want to know about your business just yet on Facebook because they are still checking you out. They want to find out more about you that is why a blog and your video channel is so cool.

5. Make a short welcome video and TAG PEOPLE IN IT THAT REQUEST to be your friend. This should be a video just welcoming them to your world, that's it. My rule of thumb is if people request to be my friend I tag them in the video b/c to me that's not spam. They initiated the relationship.

6. Post things that are funny, helpful for business, inspirational, controversial, newsworthy, pictures. Ask questions as well. In other words don't be one dimensional and boring.

7. In the initial stage add 20-30 friends a day. Afterwards people will start requesting you as a friend IF YOUR PROFILE IS OPEN FOR VIEWING. I now get about 10-20+ friend requests a day.

8. Start your own group and make sure you STAND out from everybody else. Always add value. Make sure your conversation is different from everybody else.

9. Invite 50 people a day to join your group.

10. Get back to people when they send you a message. One of the quickest way to ruin a potential relationship is if one side is doing all the talking. BE SOCIAL on Facebook. Politely respond back to people if they initiate a chat or message. If its spam IGNORE IT.

11. Be intelligent when you comment on people's status updates. Again you never know who is watching you.

12. Join other groups that are focused around your niche. When you post to the wall make sure IT IS OF VALUE and that is SOUNDS DIFFERENT than what everyone else is talking about.

13. Use the FB Marketplace to promote your business. I just heard about this and started using it. This is where you can promote your business all day everyday. Make sure you place it in the right category. I like this because it forces you to write good ad copy. This is the only place where it is ok to send people to a landing page.

For example Forum marketing Yahoo Answers (great for SEO to) But be careful not to bet banned. SEO of course Search Engine Optimization US Free Leads Article Marketing YouTube Twitter Yahoo blogs Blogging (blogger,squidoo, hub pages) Myspace Facebook Newspaper ads Craigslist etc. The list goes on. These are just a few I though of off the top of my head. Now that I think of it I need to start doing more myself. ideasuniversity had wrote quit a few good post on marketing/promotion, viral effects and such. You should check them out. Just a word of advice, make sure you have the write niche first. Anyway, hope this helps.
Re: Facebook Fan Pages - What will always draw me to something valuable in Facebook Fan Pages is how they are giving information on a regular basis so that's what I could recommend. Generate more interesting contents on a regular basis and yes, giving freebies to those active followers could even motivate the others more. Good luck!
