How to choose a Successful Business Online and making that Right Choice

As the global recession deepens and people continue to lose their jobs on a daily basis, are threatened with foreclosures from their banks, are sent final notices regarding their utility bills etc, more and more people are searching the internet looking for solutions to their problems. One such solution is to set up your own business and become an entrepreneur. However how does one search through the sea of advertisements on the internet and choose a legitimate system that is right for them? What criteria will signify to you that you are making the right choice? I have my own theory what constitutes a marketing system you should consider versus one you shouldn't. The first warning sign is the 'get rich quick' system. If it sounds too good to be true then generally it is. This will automatically eliminate many of your options because many schemes operate on this basis.

In my experience, the first element is to seek a leader, someone who is educated and successful and will teach you the correct ways to run your business so it will in turn be successful. The second is a proven marketing system that works for the majority of its members based on their success. Testimonials are useful for finding out this information. Also the marketing system must be easy to use, preferably with an auto-responder messaging service and the company offers all the training and support and provides you with the necessary marketing skills to operate this system. Words like turn-key or automated are an indication of such systems.

Once you are satisfied you have made the right choice, you need to consider the positioning of yourself within the company. Leaders position themselves at the top because they want to benefit the most from the commissions offered by the products they sell and they won't want to pass up any sales to their sponsors. This ensures they are receiving the maximum commission possible from their sales from the beginning. Not everyone will be in a position to do this but I would strongly advise you if you believe in the product you are selling, you should position yourself at the top earning line of this product as quickly as you can.

Assuming your product line is very attractive to potential prospects, you need to examine all aspects of marketing to attract your prospects. A warning sign is a company who expects you to recruit members of your family or friends as your down-line and worse expects you to purchase leads in order to generate leads for your business. This will ensure you will be financially crippled early on and you won't learn any marketing skills to improve your business.

When I started working in this business I did extensive investigations on all the elements I have discussed above. This ensured that I was very well informed about all aspects on not just the business system but the operating procedures of the company so I was very equipped to make the correct decision when joining the right company. I would advise anyone considering to join this business to exercise due diligence in this process because choosing the right company is the key to success

Re: Recently quit my job, new business owner Re: Recently quit my job, new business owner - I agree with you that you can't waste your time sitting around trying to figure out where to start, however it is really important to choose the right niche, however I think that some people never get past this step. One problem people have with running their own business is the constant decision making process. You are always forced to make decisions when you really don't have enough info to know you are making the right call.
