My Fears when joining the Networkmarketing Business.

The decision to become an entrepreneur is both an exciting and terrifying prospect. It is exciting to break away from the traditional mould of boss v employee where you are no longer dictated to or your hard labour benefits the corporation more than your salary. You are now the decision maker and your life revolves around your business that is suitable to your circumstances. However the prospect of change itself is terrifying but on a more practical level there are fears about starting something new. Having decided I was going to operate an online marketing business from home I was searching for certain criteria. I was looking for a business model or marketing system that was proven to be successful. I wanted to join a team of leaders and experts. Since I had little technical knowledge or marketing experience I was looking for a company that offered expert training and support and finally I was looking for a company that had an attractive product line that offered excellent commissions. So in a sense all the above were inadvertently fears. Would this company deliver on all of the above?

However assuming I had made a choice on a particular company, my biggest fear was is this a scam?. With so much hype of income claims and empty promises on the internet this was a legitimate concern. I could only answer this question by risking to fill out an application form and see what happens .I received an email from the sales manager, advising me that I had my own business coach, a personal invitation to a business overview call and also a warm welcome from my sponsor. All my concerns were addressed during these meetings. I was informed I would have my own back-office, have access to training resources, marketing modules, video library, auto-responder messaging service, my own customised website and many other features. I was also informed that there were approximately 20hours per week of live training calls and webinars covering every marketing aspect of the business which was an opportunity to learn from the expert producers and become part of the community of other members who were also on those calls. This was amazing as I was involved with an organisation whose primary goal was to educate its members and encourage personal development on all levels.

When I researched the product line, I was informed of a very attractive compensation plan attached to the products which offered generous commissions. I did find the whole experience overwhelming as I realised if I am going to be in this business here is where I want to be. Over the weeks and months that followed all aspects of this business operated exactly as I was told and every effort was made to improve the training, improve the marketing skills, improve the system on a ongoing basis so all members received the best possible training to run successful businesses.

My story started out with a set of fears but thankfully had a happy ending. The final thought on this topic is if you think a business is a scam, look for testimonials, social proof and research all aspects of the company before joining.
