The Secrets all Great Leaders in Business Possess
Have you ever considered why some people in business are so much more successful than others?. What qualities do they possess that allow them to perform better than their colleagues? The simple answer to this question is they are leaders. Mike Dillard refers to them in his book 'Magnetic Sponsoring' as alphas. Alphas are dominant figures and attract people or prospects in the case of business through their expertise, their diligence, their passion and their commitment to their craft. We aspire to become leaders and we are inspired by them and want to follow their example. Followers who struggle in their quest to become leaders are pre-alphas so everyone who embarks on their journey to become a successful entrepreneur begins as a pre-alpha with aspirations to become a leader or alpha.
However when I researched this topic further, I was intrigued by my findings. I discovered that there were certain patterns of behaviour that emerged that distinguished leaders above their counterparts. The first of these traits is they meditate and visualize their goals on a daily basis. They dedicate allocated time to this process daily focusing on their desires, their dreams and living and breathing them until they become a reality. The second trait is their aptitude to marketing. They will have a certain work ethic they apply to their daily routine that is systematic and effective which produces astounding results. The third trait is they understand the importance of personal development and social mastery so they will dedicate time daily to reading books, listening to audios, watching DVDs, any form of education which will give them that extra edge in business and social life. The fourth aspect is their desire to mastermind with fellow leaders through calls, conferences, webinars and particularly marketing events etc. They associate themselves with people who have similar goals, ambitions and expertise and disassociate themselves from people who do not share similar aspirations.
The fifth element which is as a result of a combination of the above is that leaders exude a cultivated position of leadership. Notice how these successful people behave, how they talk, how they make decisions, how they act in given situations and most importantly their whole philosophy of who they are, their role and mission. Like all great alphas, actors, sports people, writers, business people etc, they generate a large fan base because of their aura, skill and expertise and people want to follow you and join you. When you reach this pinnacle and you no longer are the hunter, you are the hunted, you know you have arrived. .
