Your social network has a profound effect on your success
Is it enough to be given a golden business opportunity, the ideal product that everyone is searching for and expect your business is destined to succeed overnight.? As human beings will we know instantly how to market this product, find its target audience and be able to do whatever it takes to succeed without any assistance. The answer is simply no. Humans are complex species. We require a combination of elements to allow us to properly function in the business arena. Some of these factors include marketing skills, training, support, education and knowledge. We sometimes forget that one of the fundamental reasons for success is the company we keep or our social circle. They have a profound effect on our success.
In a recent gathering in New York, the co-founder of our company remarked that he was overwhelmed by the level of talent in his presence that it inspired him and made him feel secure being part of this group of people and he admitted that their combined force would sustain any obstacles now or in the future they may or may not be confronted with. You might say it's easy for top producers to congregate and exchange ideas but how does this help people starting out in business? They haven't reached that level of success yet. First of all they can adopt the mindset of leaders if it is difficult to personally meet them.. They must set themselves goals and visualise these goals daily like leaders do. They can listen to live calls or recorded calls or webinars and listen to the expertise and the voice of a leader daily which will influence their thought process and overtime they too will behave and think like leaders and this will be reflected in their results. They can contribute to their own success by mingling with these leaders face to face at live marketing events and leverage their minds. Your constant association with fellow members or leaders in your industry will become a recipe for your success over a period of time.
Leaders believe in contributing to their community and are excited at the prospect of new talent emerging, new success stories being created. They believe in imparting and sharing their knowledge with others in order to give them an opportunity to succeed. These are real leaders. In business it's like they give you a frame of a car but overnight a different piece is added to this frame and before you know it you've won a Ferrari. Your only obligation or responsibility now is to drive it. One leader I spoke to recently said "we wait for you to decide by your actions if you are ready to take your life to the next level and when we see the light beginning to shine we reach down and grab it."
If you are part of a community you are part of their social network and the more you try and associate yourself with your network the more comfortable you will feel and be embraced by this community. People who don't think the same language as you, share the same ambitions as you or are consumed with negative thoughts or feelings will affect your thought process and ultimately your business. The secret is to stay within your proper social circle and be influenced by their success.
