Lonely at the Top? How to Build Your Personal Support Network
A business leader, you constantly challenging issues faced with opportunities and tough decisions are as. Managing such circumstances is what business leaders of course, but some of it better than others. Difference due to experience, skill or talent is, but when the matter of evidence sufficient to support an extensive network business leaders have installed does not do. Yes, it can only be up top - but it is not to be. Every executive, entrepreneur and business owner should and can build a wide support network - and not the kind of "good ole boy." Rather, a network from which you and your issues occasionally edge information and experience, receive unfiltered feedback leading people who will tell you what you need to know - from what they think you want to hear rather than the brutal truth. Here are three suggestions for doing so:
1. A "support the establishment of the list of top ten"
This is a list of casual contacts or acquaintances. This is a list of ten (twenty is better) a lot of people feel their views and values and attitudes. Individuals who have demonstrated depth of experience and skill, talent and know-how in a variety of topics. With items of your interest by sending periodic e-mails and snail mail, keep in regular contact with the top ten list. This means that you need to get tradeshows, seminars, conferences, organizations, etc. Meet the select committee meetings and high potential people you add to your list and would like to begin their outreach process. In a matter of months you will get familiar with them set up a highly professional image you selected.
2. Start a Master Mind Group
A master mind group who meet regularly to help each other achieve their goals to a group. Much a networking lunch or business group, Master Mind groups differ from generally small, highly disciplined regularity and in meeting agenda, and members who are committed to helping each other. Members to offer suggestions not only help each other out with their goals they often take on tasks between meetings to learn more and stay focused on achieving specific results. They are results oriented. Start such a group, select three of the five people
cooperate with, out group for a particular purpose and objective statements and all parameters can agree to set up meetings to format can. The more you put into a master mind group, namely increased collaboration, the more you'll get it.
3. Conduct a survey
Survey just to get feedback and advice on key issues are a great way, they can be great vehicles for building and expand its supportive environment. When designing the survey itself, we choose to focus as much of the survey participants, make sure surveys. After all sharp opinions and advice you want top-notch thinkers and doers of it to get you high regards.
Survey itself - keep it simple. Five to ten questions is the best either.
