What Are You Waiting For?

| Guest post by: S Foram |
Article Overview: It's hard to tell someone to go. I wish it did not matter, but it is. If you have a decent performance evaluation system, it can be less difficult. If you do not have one, you do some extra work for yourself and employees may justify their decision. But the work must be done. Our economy will continue to be weak for the near term. You want to strengthen your team and always as efficient as possible to be. The team should be on making the right decisions about the best that way.

What Are You Waiting For?
You revealed another planet that does not weaken our economy today. While some of its customers to continue to prosper and as busy as this time last year they were, others are under pressure on the top line and bottom line. Or pressure you are successful or not, to take a critical look at your staff's time and appropriate action.
I confess this article is a bit of a departure for me. Normally, I talk about leadership, coaching, engagement and other strategies to keep people and succeed and be more productive and contribute to the firm. However, today I'm going the other way. Quite simply, there is going to let you know that your organization may need a few people. The difficult one reason being the current state of our economy can be. I'm sure sooner or later do not like putting people on the street. Another reason why you failed as a manager seems to be unable to lead
and motivate the staff to give you quality of work is required. But we do it for the health of the firm and our reputation as a must for managers.
There are three possible scenarios here:
(1) business is bad and the costs should be cut to maintain profitability.
(2) business is not great, but not too bad. A little belt tightening is called for, but overall the firm is profitable and will weather the storm.
(3) business to be strong and requires no change in spending or staff continues.
It is scenarios (2) and (3) that I'm focused. In both of these situations, we know that employees who weight, which need to be removed are not pulling. Many reasons can they still be around. Some of those reasons may be valid, but most are just weak excuses. Now is the time to act. You owe it to the firm and all employees who are working hard. You all want a high level of production and contribution. Settle for less cost you money. This drain on your bottom line should be addressed. In addition, the company beyond the life force is another reason you should take action: You have all been watching.
They will do anything to see if you are looking for. Your integrity is at risk. You stood up and said to be to work a certain way, or that should reach a certain level of production needs.
Because you said, people think you mean it. Therefore, when an employee to follow this or does not meet guidelines, employees who do not meet accountability than the rest. If you do not act, you have messages that you send does not mean what you say. You lose credibility and have led to those you are weak in the eyes.
It's hard to tell someone to go. I wish it did not matter, but it is. If you have a decent performance evaluation system, it can be less difficult. If you do not have one, you do some extra work for yourself and employees may justify their decision. But the work must be done. Our economy will continue to be weak for the near term.
