Article Overview: We never trained lessons of ‘apology" in business school. We trained for all other models and case studies but we never trained them for very powerful lesson of ‘apology'. I strongly recommend to executives to learnt this lesson very powerfully. Who is perfect? No one is perfect. Executives of managers who feel that they need to apologies in the matter then they must confess and convey it in right manner to the right authority. It is also to be performed with emotional attachment. It cannot be just showing off activity.

AN APOLOGY: THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL OF LEADERSHIP

President Obama personally apologized on 1st octber,2010 to his Guatemalan president Alvaro Colom, counterpart for US-led study conducted in the 1940s, in which hundreds of people in the Latin American state were deliberately infected with sexually-transmitted diseases. Very powerful line of Marshall Goldsmith's: "I regard apologizing as the most

Magical, healing, restorative gesture human beings can make. It is the centerpiece of my work with executives who want to do better." The most magical, healing, restorative gesture human beings could make. Amen.

I agree apologizing.

John Kador wrote an entire book on the topic of apologizing. It's called Effective Apology. Is there such a thing as reading a 300-page book on the topic of apology?

You bet there is because I agree with Mr. Goldsmith. Very few, if any, things are more important. And as he said, it's the number one thing, arguably, factor for success, or the lack thereof.

We never trained lessons of ‘apology" in business school.

I would also like to explain example of Bollywood star Salmankhan. He recently make statements on the T.V.India today ( aaj taak) and few hours later he apologize publicly .i think it is a most powerful tool in the compass of leader.

Such a divice could prove it's intensity and that could prove how it could ward off perps, break ear drums...etc. I saw a show once where such divices were to measure a speakers intensity and the experiment was to see how many decibles it would take to break a car window with the music coming from REALLY big, POWERFUL speakers that were actually built into the car's trunk ( they took up the whole trunk and then some!).[/quote:y1zbld8w] Hi Michele, Great thinking! Perhaps this security business could use a mobile demonstration unit (as Louis suggested) and place objects that would shatter behind a protective barrier to illustrate the immobilizing force of the sound attack on perpetrators. Moreover, the security company would also have the device to measure decibels inside the test area as proof.

Any suggestions? If you feel that partnering with a producer of db measuring devices or leasing/renting the equipment is a good alternative, could you please also include a link to a potential source (preferrably one in the Toronto area)? Thanks
