In a new book, “CREATING IN-HOUSE MENTOR” the importance of listening is shown.

According to me, “Commitment to strategic listening is the part of every member of the organization and is a need of an hour.”

I am unable to understand the attitude of CEOs. Why are they not listening their team members? Most of the time, I have found that CEOs are with pre-occupied ideas or opinion and they stop or ask the team members to cut short.

WHY???

Ideas are not the monopoly of the CEOs.

Active listening is one of the prime qualities of the leadership. It gives three benefits to the CEO.

  1. You come to know the state of mind of other partner.
  2. You are not giving your peace of mind.
  3. You get the idea at free cost.
One of my favourite saying, “The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them,” said promptly Ralph Nichols.
