Leaders: Not the Past Conscious But Focus On the Future

What we commit to ourselves today determines our future. Determination leads us to successful tomorrow.

What is my commitment to myself?

What is my personal goal for the year 2010?

What I will create at the end of the current year?

I like very effective words of Dr. Sudershanam, “Every year, I have a fight with my all best previous years.”

‘What am I going to be’ is determined first by the leader. He is always in direction with speed, building his identity and making impression on the path of leadership.

Focus on future is a way of leadership. We cannot build up future by remembering past. We can create very powerful future by concentrating and determining on today.

Leaders live in present and plan for tomorrow.

Living with past glory and achievements is not a leader’s attitude. No matter of what kind of achievements you have made up. However, it is a past. Life is tomorrow not yesterday.

What we commit to ourselves will change us totally and a new person will come out from us. A new person can come out only by new commitments and determination, not by achievements. Even, living and sharing those achievements for an hour’s with some people is not recommended. Even, by that action, we spoil our present and we missed an opportunity to create another milestone.

Put your first things first, everything more likely to fall into place.

Re: Welcome New Moderators in Addition to Our Fine Team! Re: Welcome New Moderators in Addition to Our Fine Team! - Hello everyone, and Thanks for the introduction Ringo! This is going to be a great experience for me and for everyone in the community. I hope to learn a lot from you and I know there is something I can share with all of you. Past, Present, Future. Before I started my own business I worked in the north Canadian oilfields drilling for natural gas. I worked long hard hours and spent a month at a time away from home. It's when I started to burn out that I realized that there is more to it than wasting my life, secluded away from civilization and the people I cared for most. A friend of mine introduced me to a business opportunity which not only offered me the chance to fire my boss and walk away from a less than perfect lifestyle but it gave me the chance to make an income that was more than sufficient to support me and my fiance. I pounced on the opportunity like a cat on a mouse. Since then I have been working from home helping others break away from their "less than perfect situation" by mentoring them in the ways of marketing. I will continue on this path teaching, helping and coaching until I'm to old to use a computer. I feel honored to have this opportunity to share and grow with the community. I look forward to talking to you all. Dallas.
Immigrant entrepreneurs Immigrant entrepreneurs - It's smart to make them have to have a net worth of $300,000 before they can come into the country and some previous experience as an entrepreneur. Past performance is a good indicator of future success.
Patent Walk-Through Patent Walk-Through - Hello everyone! My name is Alex, I'm 18 years old and I'm constantly drawing up new ideas and inventing stuff. I sketch stuff down everywhere I go and on anything I can write on. I'm a big member of our local Future Business Leaders of America chapter (FBLA). In the future I hope to work my way up to being a Venture Capitalist. I think of myself as a pretty creative person who is very motivated. Some of the ideas and inventions I come up with are pretty far out but others I consider marketable and to have great potential. Being 18, I have little to no connections and no resources. I've been surfing this site pretty frequently for the last year and have finally decided to join the forum group. Anyway, here's my question... Basically, I have no idea how to get a patent together the costs and the overall process. As of now, I think I have a great idea that, as far as I know has not, ever been done before. I'm really excited about this idea. I'm a total novice at this and am willing to learn all that I can. Any information that you can provide me with would be great. Again the main things I want to know are: 1.Overall Process. 2.How Long It Takes. 3.Costs. 4.Anything That You Think I Should Know. 5.Tips/Experiences. 6.Confidentiality. 7.Must I Make A Physical Model of My Idea? Thanks guys! -Alex

Re: Partner with Sony Pictures.Coca-Cola and Toyota Re: Partner with Sony Pictures.Coca-Cola and Toyota - I've truly always been amazed by small businesses who have big name company's listed on their websites with whom they have done work for or partnered in the Past. Has anyone on the Forum has such a partnership with large organizations or Brand name companies? Would you mind sharing how you were able to set up the partnership without giving away names of people you work with?
