There is a huge difference between see and foresee

Guest post by: Dr Shailesh Thaker

Article Overview: The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. There is more to us than we know. If we can be made to see it, perhaps for the rest of our lives we will be unwilling to settle for less. A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more. Vision gives you the impulse to make the picture your own. There are always flowers for those who want to see them. There are miles to go for those who want to reach at the top.The difference between dream and goal is that goal have deadline. To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize, then plan... believe... act. We all need big and clear picture for ourselves to leave legible foot print on the map of the world. We cannot settle down with low achievements in the life as we have narrow vision.

There is a huge difference between see and foresee

"The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight, but has no vision." Asserted by Helen Keller. The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision.

There are miles to go for those who want to reach at the top.

Albert Schweitzer was asked, "How goes it with you, Dr. Schweitzer?" The aging medical missionary responded, "My eyesight grows dim, but my vision is clearer than ever.

The question is not what you look at, but what you see. We are limited, not by our abilities, but by our vision. We can't live an uncertain life.

Jonathan Swif "Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others." We all need our own picture. Most of the people limit themselves to new possibilities by the narrowness of their vision.

The difference between dream and goal is that goal have deadline. To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize, then plan... believe... act. We all need big and clear picture for ourselves to leave legible foot print on the map of the world.

We cannot settle down with low achievements in the life as we have narrow vision. Life is given once and cannot be spoiling of in ignorance.

There is a huge difference between to see and foresee.

Re: GT and All Mods, Spam Alert! Re: GT and All Mods, Spam Alert! - [quote="GT Bulmer":2n2w531m]I can only surmise that they do their spamming quickly and in such high volume that a few malcontents like us do not make a big difference in their results.[/quote:2n2w531m] Yes, that's exactly it. They are blasting out huge volumes of spam to every blog they can using automated programs. It's a numbers game for them hoping to get as many through as they can on whatever blogs they can. It makes no difference to them that most of us have safeguards in place on our blogs because there's still plenty out there that don't.
Re: Suspicious/Problematic Users Re: Suspicious/Problematic Users - I hate to beat a dead horse on this because I know I've mentioned it probably 10 times before, but this is just one more reason why I really think we need more global moderators! Don't get me wrong, I think Evan and GT do an excellent job. But sometimes neither of you can be here for several hours at a time and when that happens spam can just sit there making the forums look horrible. If it's one or two posts it's not usually a big deal but every once in a while it's a bunch of them and sometimes it's adult in nature, so that really looks bad. Not only that but it will maybe ease GT's mind a bit knowing that he has more help in deleting the spam, so he doesn't have to constantly be making sure he comes here. Just a thought! Having moderators be "global" doesn't really change much. We still have the exact same powers that we currently have in our own sections of the forum but instead it will be for any section. Not a huge change but can make a huge difference in a positive way.
Get some revenue first Get some revenue first - Sasha - sounds like an interesting product. If you're close to generating revenue I would encourage you to do so before looking for investment. Even a few clients and dollars in the bank make a huge difference when you're looking for capital. If you can prove that you're more than an idea and people are willing to pay you money for what you have you'll stand out from 95% of the other business plans looking for capital which never get beyond the planning stage.
Re: Brag: 100 Confirmed email opt-ins Re: Brag: 100 Confirmed email opt-ins - Hi Michelle - the biggest change came from offering a lot of free downloads in PDF format that is relevant to what they are searching for... and putting that information behind the opt in. I used to give away the content and then ask people to join the list - now I switched it so they have to confirm their email address to get the free download - it made a huge difference in terms of # of signups and, using yesterday as an example, I had 101 confirmed signups and only 2 unsubscribes.
Re: Poll: How many search results do you analyze of competitors Re: Poll: How many search results do you analyze of competitors - Greeting to all, Excellent response on this from everyone. You need to examine a minimum of the top 30 results (but because of Personalization, you'll do better if you examine the top 100 results. Remember that someone who is visible at position #75 can easily move to position number 3 for the most readers, (if they discover those tiny changes that are keeping them apart.) The idea is to accurately recognize the best opportunities (while sometimes) you need to be aware of the threats too. Tiny changes can make a huge difference in your visibility.
