WE MUST TAKE ACTIONS IN ORDER TO BECOME WHO WE DESIRE TO BE

Guest post by: Dr Shailesh Thaker

Article Overview: What we are, totally depends on us. It does not depend on others. Life never creates anything for us. We have to create something in life. It is only possible if we decide to make ourselves move first.

WE MUST TAKE ACTIONS IN ORDER TO BECOME WHO WE DESIRE TO BE

Greek philosopher said,“To move the world we must move ourselves.” (Remember, Socrates had never written anything, it is his first disciple Plato who has written for him.)

We have to take responsibility of our lives and deeds. We are totally responsible for what we gain, what we lose, what we see, what we hear, what we do and what we experience. We cannot lead ourselves where accountability is lacking.

Life never creates anything for us. We have to create something in life. It is only possible if we decide to make ourselves move first.

There is a very popular saying that great souls have wills but feeble have only wishes. We cannot wish ourselves to be successful. We have to be responsible and act.

Louis L’Amour says very profoundly,“THE WATER DOES NOT FLOW UNTIL THE FAUCET IS TURNED ON.”

ACTION in direction with speed is a new learning.

The greatest lost to all of us is the wasted time to make the way successful. We all need control on the habit of procrastination.

Ideas are not enough, talent is untapped, unleash our potentials, Plans are most of the time on the paper, willingness to do have less values……unless they are followed by vibrant actions.

What is the right use of my time right now!!!!!!

Re: Quotes, Books, or Videos? Re: Quotes, Books, or Videos? - I voted for videos as being the most interesting. I don't know about other people, but I don't sit and "watch" a video, but let it play while I do routine stuff (packing parcels/processing orders being the best example!), so I appreciate 10-20 minute videos on interesting topics. I look at the bits that sound "visually interesting" but as a lot of videos tend to be either "talking head" or "karaoke style" (showing the text of what is being said"), I don't feel the need to stay glued to the screen. As for the ORDER of mailing events... I'd suggest: 1. Quotations - arouse curiosity, instant gratification, quick inspiration... 2. Videos - unique content, brand building, high perceived value. 3. Books - follow up with a book list for further research, extra value, especially if the list includes some free downloads... I wonder about the word "books" though... I love books, but a lot of people are put off by them! DH
Re: Going Back to Work after After Having Kids Re: Going Back to Work after After Having Kids - Hi Ladies, You're having an interesting discussion here. I've been married for 16 years and I don't have kids... yet. People do have many different perspectives on me being a childless career woman. Fortunately, I stopped listening to them a long time ago. I just joke and say my cats are my pseudochildren for now. I actually believe every one of us women have "mothering" gifts, but that doesn't mean we need to use them only to mother our own children. In fact, I think it's sad when women feel they have to give up everything in order to have kids. (If they DESIRE to, that's a different story.) They feel guilty when their own desire to "mother others in the world" tends to rise to the surface. Their kids are no less important just because their desire to make a difference in the world goes beyond the family. Jude, I like that you said about how going to work makes you happy. That's because you've chosen to do what you enjoy. If a Mom does what she enjoys, she will bring more life into her house. You can actually inspire your child by living fully alive. I wrote an article with that title... "Hey Mom, inspire your child by living fully alive." As long as this forum will accept it, I'll upload it on the site here along with another one called, "You are a great Mother (even if you don't have kids)!" I have clients who have kids and clients who don't. I find that when someone says to me that I don't understand her situation because I don't have kids, she actually means she isn't ready to look at what she can do to change her situation. I'm just the scapegoat. There are many women who have learned how to balance their families and their careers with great success. Thank you to those Moms for setting a great example for the rest of us! Warmly, Tami
