Developing Systems to Permanently End Procrastination
We've been receiving many positive reviews regarding previous articles we've released on this subject. Therefore, we are going to take the opportunity to dig deeper into eliminating this most popular challenge in the lives of our readers.
Everything in life can be broken down into bite-size pieces if we take the time to be proactive in our approach. The same can be said for procrastination. The art of putting things off haunts most of us. Here are 5 clear steps to creating a system of operating that will permanently end procrastination:
- Define clearly on paper the task that you need to accomplish.
- Break down the task into "bite-sized" pieces. Do not make it your goal to get it all done in one day if such isn't possible.
- Set an end date. This is the date you will have fully completed the task
- Put this information on your calendar, Blackberry, or any other PDA that you will constantly reference.
- Reward yourself: Put something enjoyable at the end date as a reward for completing the task.
