LEADERS: DISCERN THEIR CLIENTS NEEDS
One of the biggest challenges for leaders is the most simple thing to overcome. Many leaders speak at length about how to sell and care for their clients, conduct follow up conversations, and build relationships all while omitting one very important aspect: Knowing what their client actually needs.
If you really want to stay on the leading edge of your profession. Accurately discern your client's needs and wants by asking them. It is truly that simple. Ask them what you can do to improve their experience. Do not assume you know what their needs are and develop strategies for presumptions. Such is short-sighted and you'll only be guessing at best. This is the lot of over 90% of your competition. Because they don't stop to ask and listen to the needs of their client, the client proceeds to take their business elsewhere while they fail as a company. Even in the throes of failure most companies still neglect to ask such a simple question. Do not follow your competition unless you want to reap the same results. Ask you clients what they want. Ask your clients what they need. And listen intently. This will give you a relentless edge over your competition as you'll always be working on solutions before they ever become problems.
