Do you wake up on Monday morning and dread going into work? Are you constantly watching the clock all day waiting till you can go home? Can you not wait until Friday comes around? If this is the case, you most probably hate your job and have no passion for it.
Going The Extra Mile If you are passionate about your job you want to go the extra mile to perform the best you can. You become engrossed in your work and before you know it the day is over and it is time to go home. This is because you are passionate about what you do for a living and you also get more pleasure out of life as a result of this.
Here are some ideas to follow if you want to be more passionate about your job.
Firstly you need to do more, be proactive, do the things that others don’t want to do, put yourself forward. You will soon be noticed by the Managers and it will be to your advantage.
Stand out in the business meetings too. They don’t have to be boring. Do something to lighten them up, inject some humour into them and some passion. This will encourage others to do the same.
You can also start to become inspiring to other people too, so that they start to enjoy their jobs. This will make you feel good as well.
You will also be able to do more with passion for your work. You won’t want to go in and do as little as possible, spending your time trying to get out of doing the things you hate, or thinking about your next holiday, because you’ll want to do them and won’t settle for anything less than you best effort.
Get Respect Passion for the job means you’ll work harder, putting in more hours, working harder for both yourself and your co-workers. By doing this both they and your boss will start to notice and respect you, thus you’ll start getting better assignments and more money!
Think about those feelings you get when you do something you’re passionate about, something like a sport or a hobby. Imagine if you could get those same feelings with your job. How good would that be!
Go ahead and try it and become more passionate at work. See if it makes a difference in your life and your outlook on things. See how it feels. What harm can it do?
