Office Porn Could Get You Fired

It's plain and it's simple. When I refer to office porn I don't mean a video about sex in the office. I'm referring to employees looking at porn on company computers on company time. Viewing porn at work has become a major issue all over the world and has led to countless numbers of employees being fired over it. It's not just the rank and file employees that have ben sacked either. A lot of people in management positions of all types have been affected too. Personally, I don't get it. I get porn and it does have it's place in our society but I don't think it's place is in the office or the workplace in general. When I got my first management position in the 90's, the computers we had were quite slow as we only had dial up internet. One night, for whatever reason, I left my office door unlocked and I wasn't the last to leave that night. When I arrived at the office in the morning, my computer was on so I checked the history to see who was using it. There was nothing but porn porn and more porn but what made it worse was that there were a lot of sites that were visited that were rather questionable. Remember, this is the early days of the internet where there wasn't a great deal of monitoring and you could post almost anything. I was very worried that I would get the sack for that. Lucky for me no one was monitoring what sites were visited at the time. From that day on I always made sure I locked my office door when I left for the day.

Another major issue too is someone sending you some porn through an email attachment. One morning I was reading through all the emails and came across one that sounded funny. I opened it up and waited for it to download and when it started to play, I had to run to the bathroom to pewk! I wont even begin to describe what it was but it was a very perverted sex act in my opinion. The worst part was that when I ran out of my office, it was still playing on the monitor and my manager wondered what happened so he went into my office and saw what was playing. I had some explaining to do but he was very understanding and just cautioned me to be careful what attachments I opened up from then on.

That was then and this is now and office monitoring software is very sophisticated but people still do it and it's on the rise too. Every employee knows the risk but it doesn't seem to stop them for some reason. They all know that viewing porn at work can lead to disciplinary action. Maybe it's the fact that internet speeds are getting faster and faster each year so the quality of the videos is much higher so it's more enticing to look at.

If you're a manager and you are looking at porn at work, stop and think for a minute. Do you really think you wont get caught? Do you think that you are indispensable and that no one will fire you? Think again. Depending on your companies policies, that's a huge possibility. If CEO's have been fired form their company due to breaching their pornography at work policy, then the possibility of you being fired is even higher. Don't risk it. Leave porn at home and don't bring it into the workplace. In this day and age where litigation can be brought on a person by just a look that's interpreted wrong by someone, it's not worth the risk.

What have you trademarked? What have you trademarked? - Trademarking can a difficult and time consuming process. It also doesn't always work out (ie. Donald Trump was not able to trademark the phrase "You're Fired") What have you trademarked and has it helped your business?
Re: Review My: Trump 4 President Site Re: Review My: Trump 4 President Site - Hey Zac - congrats on getting it up quickly! My first thoughts are: loud and cluttered. Red is a very powerful color and to have it as a background can be really hard on the eyes (especially a widescreen monitor where the background is so big). There's also a lot going on - what do you want people to do? Get on the newsletter list? I'm unsure what I'm supposed to do next... I love the picture though with Trump on Uncle Sam with the You're Fired Mr. President - I think the content will shine through more as you get the graphic interface looking a little nicer. You might want to consider putting it up on 99designs for some bids. How do you plan to monetize the site? That could help us help you better as well!
Book review: We Got Fired: And its the best thing that ever Book review: We Got Fired: And its the best thing that ever - Book review: We Got Fired: And its the best thing that ever happened to us Edited by Harvey McKay. Featuring - in microcosm - the business life stories about 30 CEOS (too many names for me to mention here), but politicians, football coaches, and business people such as Donald Trump, Lou Holtz and Bill Bellichek, etc. Each chapter is an interview with one of these individuals, telling why they were "fired" and how they then moved on to something else and made a success of that. The main thing to take away from the book is that, even if you as an entrepreneur have to "fire yourself" from one job, take that as a reason to go into a different field and make a success of that, as it can and has been done.
Re: Internet Users Hbk http://www.internetscamsanonymous.com Re: Internet Users Hbk http://www.internetscamsanonymous.com - Hi Dr Don, Okay, I will modify that part of my review. I converted the file you sent me to an Open Office document and then converted that to a PDF file. It's good of you to give away free chapters, but the quality and depth of information suggests to me that you definitely have a marketable product - or series of products.
Speaking of shipping.... Speaking of shipping.... - The US Post Office raised its rates a few months ago, and it's rates for magazines has trebled, I believe, which is going to drive the small press magazine publisher out of business... Anyone deal with shippig on a regular basis, and what do you use? Your in-country regular postal service FedEx UPS DHL Freight carriers and what are your experiences with each one?
