Christy’s Laws of Information Technology Leadership Law #1: Technology is a tool set
The purpose of using technology in your business is to help achieve your business goals. So the technology and tools you use are supposed to make work easier or faster, result in fewer mistakes, or save people time. Technology
helps your business by managing information and making it easier to
store and retrieve, allowing you to ensure processes are running
efficiently and profitably.
If it takes 2 weeks to get a new computer or phone, if the computer
you have has to be shut down and restarted 3 times a day, if the
systems don’t produce the reports you need to make business decisions,
you are not getting everything you should be getting out of your
technology investment.
It’s time to start asking questions.

Re: Most desirable type of business to start
- This may seem intuitive, but the best type of business to start is one with which you have experience and a passion for. The industry is irrelevant.
For example, I wouldn't start a grocery store simply because I have no experience in that industry and no desire to do so. So, no matter if grocery stores are the most profitable enterprise ever, I wouldn't succeed.
On the other hand, I can make a decent living and have fun running an Information Technology consulting business because that's what I know.
Hope that answers your question.
International Technology Exchange

Does anyone have idea about International Technology Exchange? I’m keenly interested to get the views of the members. Without going into confidential details, good or bad reports would be appreciated!
Thanks
What to Outsource
- I found that at the beginning I tried to do everything myself - I wore all the hats of the entrepreneur. Then I decided to focus only on the things that I was really good at and passionate about. From there I outsourced the rest.
Technology and accounting are 2 great examples of things to outsource. The only thing I would never outsource is the relationship with the client - you need to own it and make sure you are delivering on their expectations.
Re: How Entrepreneurs Can Use Technology To Grow
- We are living in an era where things are changing every minute and effecting our life and businesses. IMO they can use technology to cut their cost. I.E. they can send invoices on PDFs, use online merchant accounts (PayPal and Alert Pay), and increase revenue for effectively by using product catalogs with home delivery options. Technology also helps improve customer service.
