Information Products; Step one … a Google search

Nowadays almost anything can be sold; tangible or intangible. Some have high profit margins while others have minimal. Some of the highest profit margin items are eBased information products sold as downloadable items. However, you can use information products as a way to build your database for future sales opportunities. Many top marketers make more from the products they give away due to backend opportunities rather then immediately trying to make a sale.

Since most people have some type of information of value information products are some of the best ways to make money, position your expertise and increase market reach.

Anything can be classified as an information product as long as it is a product that mainly sells knowledge and, as the name implies, information. Not only can you make money with info products you can make a great living...if you know what you are doing.

Many people have tried to make money selling information products but have failed for a number of reasons. Lack of research is usually at the top of the list. Just because you have an interest or knowledge in something does not mean it will be of interest to others.

To find out how viable your information is do your research. You have to know if there is a paying market for your information. It's one thing for you to think your information is valuable and something completely different to find a group of people who not only want the information but are willing to pay for it.

Start by doing a Google search with the area of expertise you plan to package. For example, if you are developing an information product on elderly care a simple search with the words "types of elderly care" will likely bring up a great deal of information.

From there you can search out forums. Forums are online gathering locations for people with similar interests, needs or wants.

In the last few days I have had the need to access reliable information on terminal lung cancer - not for money making information products, but rather for quality information. I want medical, holistic, patient services and family member information. Top of my list is to find out what others have gone through when in a similar situation as my family is going through. It didn't take but a few minutes to access ample information.

The reason I share my personal experience with my readers is I want to show people how incredibly easy it is to get information when you have a need or want.

I did a search with the words "lung cancer forums". Not only did I find an excellent forum, I was able to connect with people who had a similar need and have gone through this journey of uncertainty.

The number of people in the forum I located indicated to me there are large numbers of people who have an interest in this information. The quality of information was beyond compare.

Will I make an information product I will sell based on my research about lung cancer? At this time I have no plans for doing so. However, I may decide to simply develop information that I will give away.

The point here is, I had a need and quickly found a resource where I could gather an incredible amount of information.

When I hear people say they can't find information what this tells me is their topic is either so obscure that very few people would have an interest or....they simply have not looked in the right places.

If you are thinking of developing information products for profit or as a giveaway a quick Google search is step one. You can quickly find out how prevalent something is this way.

Re: Your choice between... Re: Your choice between... - I will take the $100,000 and double it on it becomes millions before I spend it. Though I am crazy about information, yet I would rather take the money and turn it into a million before I spend a dime out of it. I will do it in 4 steps. Step 1 turn $100,000 to $200,000 Step 2 turn $200,000 to $400,000 Step 3 turn $400,000 to $800,000 Step 4 turn $800,000 to $1600,000. After getting the goal of step 4, I will spend the $600,000 on myself then continue to double the millions again. I could then by the book for $1,000,000
Re: Google Custom Search: Let Visitors Search YOUR Site Only Re: Google Custom Search: Let Visitors Search YOUR Site Only - Hi GT, I have a Google search box on my site since I started. I generated it from my adsense account, and now after an upgrade they call it Google custom search. This is a great tool. 1- people can search your website if they are looking for something specific 2- When people use the search box to search outside your site and click on the links you get commission. it is easy to install and can help your marketing efforts.
Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively - There are many different types of content: blog content, website content, newsletter content, audio & video content, the list can be endless. I'll just list 10 types of website content here: * Index/Introduction * Product Descriptions * Testimonials * Reviews * Resources * How-to Information * Downloads * Contact Information * Navigation/Site Map About/Company Info Anchor text as the others have said is the hyperlinked words on a web page - the words you click on when you click a link. Anchor text is important because it tells the search engines what the page is about. Used wisely, it boosts your rankings in search engines, especially in Google. If you use "click here" as the words people are going to click on, you're telling people the page is about the subject "click here", which is not the phrase you want to rank highly for, the text you need to use is a keyword that you have chosen for your website, blog or article. Take care, Carol

How Soon Does It Take a Blog to get Into the System? How Soon Does It Take a Blog to get Into the System? - I have used blogger.com (used to be blogspot, or still is, for all I know...taken over by google, anyway!) for about a year now. My first blog, Daily Space, shows up regularly in search engines now...seems like the day after I post something its in the search engines. And I'm pretty sure I never announced it to search engines... it just made its way onto them virally because Google arranges that. At least that's what I'd thought. BUt I created a blog a couple of weeks ago, for an actor named Patrick Barlow. (No one's ever heard of him, it's for my own enjoyment only). And I signed on to Google Alerts to get alerts about Barlow from webpages and blogs... And after two weeks of me making a post about Barlow each day, I have yet to get a "Google Alert" about it, and have yet to see it in search engines! Is anyone familiar enough with Blogger/Blogspot to know how long it takes before a new blog filters into the Google search engine?
