A Foolproof Way To Evaluate Marketing Advice

Small business owners can easily avoid expensive hiring mistakes simply by using social media to check out their marketing suppliers. It will take a few minutes, but it's easy to verify the quality of your marketing expert. To see if his or her marketing advice is viable, here are a few simple steps. First, Google them to check out their online reputation. You may want to google their name, their company name, their email and their telephone number. This will show you the quality of their online reputation, sites they are contributing to, associated with, and if you dig deeper then the first page of google results, you will also see if there are any results that may interest you. If they are a good marketer, they willhave a good web presence. To dig a little further, and you want to knowif their are other quality clients recommending them, you can go to several social media sites and do a search. A great way social media has evolved, is you can look for real quality testimonials on Linkedin. Read them and call or contact the people giving the testimonials if you need to. It's amazing how Linkedin has evolved to let businesses communicate to one another with effortlessness. If they are marketers, and don't have a social media presence, run. If they do, go to their social media accounts, and read what others are saying and not saying. Sometimes, what someone does not say is as important as what they say. When speaking with your marketing professional, make sure you ask for their success stories. Look for proof so you can measure their results. Social Media and the internet is making people's results more transparent, and you can use this to your advantage. From time to time we have all been disappointed in by someone selling marketing advice and services, who it turns out has no business doing so. Ten minutes of your time can help you save thousands of dollars worth of mistakes, or even better, can help you make a million dollar decision.
