How to make a viral video to market your business

One of the best marketing strategies that a business can utilize is using a viral video to help promote their company. Video sharing has been the craze the past few years and people have established the habit of sharing videos that really catch their eye. This is something that businesses have definitely noticed and have been able to use for marketing purposes but only a few have been able to master the art form. One of the best examples would have to be Old Spice as they truly caught the audience's attention and was able to perfect their viral video marketing strategies.
Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Comedy Is Key
When it comes to viral video marketing, comedy is what will make people share the video. However, this can be tougher than expected as you will not be taking the normal route that a filmmaker would take. Comedy for a short film will normally just come with a punchline or a very clever idea. Old Spice used a very "random" approach and it paid off really well as they used a very likable actor as the leading role. If you are serious about being able to market your company well, creating an extremely hilarious viral video would do the trick.
Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Shock Factor
Essentially, it is the shock that you give the audience and it doesn't necessarily have to be comedy. Things that make people think will surely be passed along and you simply just have to have the people talking. If you make a controversial video, make sure that it would be intriguing enough to have people watch and discuss the video so that people will share it. If you are able to shock people without having to use anything too extreme, you will definitely be one step closer to being able to create a viral video.
Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Stay Creative
Make sure that you are being as creative as possible and to use a team of collaborators. It can be very hard to create a legit viral video all on your own as you will need several minds to put together a clever idea. The video needs to be quick and straight to the point so that you will be able to get your point across quickly. Most marketing strategies have now used viral videos but very few actually succeed. Avoid the common cliches that a lot of viral videos create and learn how to create your own style.
Overall, viral videos will simply just be luck and though some videos will get millions of views and some will just get thousands, it will all be based on your comedy, shock factor and overall creativity. If you are serious about being able to create a very good viral video, make sure you also create a decent team of creative minds so that the process will be much easier. Take your time and you will definitely be able to create a viral video that will help jump start your company.

Re: HOw to market a B2B consulting company Re: HOw to market a B2B consulting company - Hi, Hopefully I am understanding what you do but here is my idea. If there was some legal way to do this I think it would be a great viral video both online & offline. You would most likely have to fake it to be legal: Create a few videos of you & your team "accesses unauthorized facilities." Meaning the company never authorized you to do it but you are breaking in to prove how bad their security is. I am sure I saw this is in a movie or on TV but I think it a viral video like this would catch on and could lead into some inexpensive advertising. Jeff
Viral? Viral? - [quote:3a5u93ke]I am looking to grow my business through a viral affiliate marketing campaign[/quote:3a5u93ke] Here's that word viral again. Is there some meaning to this in the commercial world that I'm not aware of, or is it supposed to be "virile"??? To me viral means viruses, as in illnesses?
Re: When Social Goes Wrong: Customer Relations Fiascos Re: When Social Goes Wrong: Customer Relations Fiascos - I agree with GT. The Social Media sphere are not overly concerned with the veracity or the reliability of a negative claim, indeed even if it is a genuine fiasco, it may be a one off. We are not infallable and a business can be hammered if they go viral. I googled Motrim and the video referenced still appears.
Max's offbeat (off the wall, crazy, super) marketing ideas Max's offbeat (off the wall, crazy, super) marketing ideas - okay maybe they are not that exciting but here they are: 1. forming alliances with non local competitors to streamline business processes, and share marketing information and sales success/horror stories. This will save both companies time and money and make them both stronger. 2. Taking your competitors promotions and using them against them by honouring their promotions if presented to you. 3. Using youtube video and viral marketing (especially if you sell toys) to get brand awareness and newsletter sign ups.
Re: Finding the Right Penny Stocks to Buy Re: Finding the Right Penny Stocks to Buy - I don't play with penny stocks much, but I've got my eye on a company with great potential. Point Group Holdings (Symbol PGHI) recently acquired VeeGeez.com, an online video game rental site. It's like NetFlix, only they rent video games instead of DVDs. If you'll remember, NetFlix went from $6 to almost $80 this past year. The DVD rental business is huge. So is the video game rental market. VeeGeez has some existing competition, but I don't believe any of them are doing a good job marketing their services. With their "No late fees" policy, I believe VeeGeez has a great opportunity to take a nice chunk of the market. Currently, their site looks awful, but they will be launching a brand new site within a week or two. They have plans to launch a comprehensive marketing effort which should reach their target market over the next year. I remember missing the boat on the last dotcom boom. I have put my money where my mouth is and invested some cash in PGHI. It is currently at .05 on the OTC Bulletin Boards. I guess time will tell if this is a good investment! Note: I am not a licensed broker and am not telling you what to do with your money. Don't make any purchases based on what I say or do.......................
