The easiest way to increase your success in life and in business

One of the keys to success in business and in life is reading “how to” books on business. Talk to any millionaire business person and you will find that he or she owns dozens if not hundreds of business books.

I owe all of my success in life to reading business books. Anybody who knows me knows that I am constantly reading business books on topics such as management, sales, and marketing.

If you want to greatly improve the success of your business and your life, it is as easy as reading 10 pages a day, every day. If you commit yourself to reading 10 pages a day from business books, in a year you will have read 3,650 pages! As an average business book is about 300 pages long, if you read 10 pages a day in 1-year you will have read 12+ complete business books. Think of the amazing business education you will give yourself by forcing yourself to read 10 pages a day.

Another very important thing to consider is that if you commit yourself to reading 10 pages a day, in 2-years you will have given yourself the equivalent to a Master’s degree in business.

I have both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree - and I have the student loans to prove it. However, I have to tell you that I learned far more about business and success by reading the books I bought than I ever learned from attending college. If I had to do it all over again I would not have attended graduate school. I have given myself a far better business education by buying business books and reading 10 pages a day than I ever received from attending graduate school.

In summary, if you want to have amazing success in life and in business, all you have to do is read 10-pages a day from a business book and then commit yourself to implementing the strategies you learn. It is that easy. Now make a commitment to put this simple plan into action and go read a business book.

Re: How do you earn trust with an online business? Re: How do you earn trust with an online business? - Hi Mary Happy holiday . . . You're so right. That's the only way to live your life if you want enduring success in your business AND personal life.
Re: Success? When does an inventor feel successful? Re: Success? When does an inventor feel successful? - I agree with Jude. Success is different to different people, and it is different for one person in is different aspects of life. You can have personal success, business success. For me finishing a very challenging picture puzzle is success. You are only successful if you feel successful.
Re: Getting *back* to the next step Re: Getting *back* to the next step - Take time out to enjoy life, family, friends before you get back to the 'next step'. I know a lot of people can lose focus on the task at hand by taking a break, but balance is key. Balance is integral to maintaining overall success in business and life!
Balance - Make time for things you love Balance - Make time for things you love - To kick things off in this new forum category I wanted to share with you some of the lessons I learned from Jim Cathcart. Jim's simple message is to make time for the things that you love. No matter how busy we get in life, no matter how ambitious we are in chasing our business dreams, we still need to make time for the things that we love - be it family, friends, music, motorcycles, etc - whatever means something to you. If you don't make time for those things then you're bringing less to the table. If you're just a business machine then eventually you will burn out and have an empty life. Jim recommends finding time every day to doing the things that you love. It will give your life more meaning as well as make you happier. In my life, for example, I committed to spending more time with my family and I now only go into the office from Monday to Thursday. I'm home on Fridays and spend time with my wife. I've also created a journal where I try to do something meaningful for someone in my life every day. It could be a heartfelt thank you card to someone who helped me, clipping and mailing a news story to a friend who would find it interesting, or surprising my wife with chocolates. I find that by doing something every day and by being home on Fridays I've been able to increase the quality of my life and my business has also grown in the process. What have you done to make time of the things that you love?
Re: 3 Signs That I Need To Get Serious About IM... Re: 3 Signs That I Need To Get Serious About IM... - David and everyone else, I can certainly relate to the ever glaring dilemma that a lot of us IM'ers face. I could easily think of more than three reasons as to why I need to get serious, and it's something I struggle with every day. Back in the beginning when I was working full-time, I made every excuse as to why I shouldn't do any work on my business. I figured I had plenty of time and that I would get to it eventually. Well, after I lost that job I highly regretted never getting serious about my business. For a while now, I've been debating whether I should go back into full-time employment, mainly for the financial side of things. However, finding good jobs is hard to come by these days. But, with more knowledge under my belt and having outsourced before, I would still be able to keep my business growing at the same time if I did get another job. I would be less involved, but the money would still increase over time, and my business wouldn't become stale due to my lack of time and effort. Obviously getting serious about IM is the logical solution, but it's not always the easiest nor is it always practical. For those of you who are still working, whether full-time or part-time, I would encourage you to invest some of that money into your business through outsourcing the marketing end of things; backlink building, article marketing, etc.
