Here is the step by the step process of hyper responsive opt-in email lists:
The first thing to do is to determine what customers need. It should be a product or a service that should provide a solution of some kind that will improve the quality of life either at home or at work.
Marketing a product especially new ones takes time and money to establish itself. Profit is not made in the first sale but occurs when the customer decides to buy again or through repeat sales.
• The next is to do the proper research. If your business is done with a group of people or a single proprietorship, it is best to come up with the best ways to reach out to your audience. Come up with a fun campaign or contest, it should be catchy and will easily be remembered. Given that there are probably others who have been in the business longer, it is best to think of them too to get their input and advice.
• A product of good quality should be sold at a decent price. Sometimes, the product you make or service you provide is already available in the market….just “Google” your product or service for a real eye-opener! To be competitive, you have to figure out a way to convince people as to why this product is better than the other leading brands. What features does it have that the competitor doesn’t? What makes it unique and what service can it give as well?
• The best way to do this is to use your email list to educate them on your product or service, notify them of updates and upcoming events. Hold a Teleseminar on how your product or service works!
To be successful, one should be sure that the merchandise that a customer will order can be delivered on time. If there are any problems, a customer support staff or system should be ready to cater to that.
You do not need a wonder product to make it work…..and frankly, you don’t need to be the best one in the market either….just be there and provide good value with integrity!
All it takes is a list of people who one can contact without being accused of spamming. Soon, this will get the attention of the right people and sales should start coming in.
Any business big or small must maximize marketing to get the message across. Online marketing tools like email autoresponders are just one of the new ways of making money. It is up to the person to find that need and take advantage of it.

Autoresponder v Blog Feed Subscriptions...
- Hi folks,
Autoresponders are a vital online tool for building and communicating with your list. But they are not the only tool for getting subscribers...
Another tool is your blog feed, and just as with an autoresponder, you can post a sign up box on your site to get people to subscribe to your blog feed.
If everything else is equal, I have a feeling that people might be more willing to sign up to a blog than to join a list. For one thing, most autoresponder forms are set up to require both name and email address whereas a blog feed only requires an email address.
Also, inviting someone to join a blog feed seems "self explanatory" whereas some kind of inducement or justification is needed when asking someone to join a mailing list.
The only problem with blog feeds is that (as far as I know) you don't get a list of subscribers' email addresses.
However, using a blog feed to get subscribers could be a good first step to building a relationship with your website visitors... You can then post various list building offers as blog posts to get your blog subscribers to further commit and opt in to one or another of your lists. That might also make your respective lists more responsive (because more closely targeted and qualified).
What do you think? And what do you do?
Thanks,
DH
Re: What are you doing if o have a bad day?
- Hang in there, Anelly! Those kind of days are just going to happen and we have to take the bad with the good. Try to think of it as being one step closer to a success, since each failure takes us a step closer to a success. Also think of it as a necessity to the process of learning. I'm sure you've learned something from the experience; perhaps what NOT to do next time. Still, at least you are making the effort to TRY something and that is a step forward in your life. Many people give up before they even begin; don't try anything out of the box. I know it's hard to believe it can ever get better when you're having such a blue day, but believe in yourself and trust that you WILL pick yourself up and dust yourself off and emerge greater than you already were. If not today (as we all need a day to sulk now and then) then tomorrow.
Can a biz website help?
- Tara,
A website is just another vechicle to deliver your message and keep in touch with your customers. How? well for one your email address will have your web address in it - people judge your professionalism at that level too.
Some uses my clients have found beneficial when they thought it wouldn't:
1. Disseminating repetitive information to clients e.g. portfolios, FAQs.
2. Send out newsletters that link back to your webpage (costs practically nothing via email)
3. Writing articles for your industry. These articles will do two things: 1) establish your expert status. 2) Search Engine Optimize your site.
4. Run cheaper ads in print publications by directing them to your Sales message on to a page on your site.
5. Write a special report on "Logo branding" for business owners to download. You capture their email info as you have to email it to them or their mailing address and send them the report. After they have read it they will still be inclined to use your service even if you divulge every step it takes to create a logo brand. The psychology is that they fear they may still mess up and you won't. I did this with my old Web design business as a test (gave them step by step what they needed to do to setup a website) and I still got their business. I installed Trust in them that I could do it best.
Those are the major ones.
Complete Marketing System?
- I am just planning to start a new sales job as a commercial lender in a bank in a couple of days where I will be in 100% business development role for the first year I would guess. What I mean by that is, I am starting with no customers. I've been in this industry for a few years but have always worked my customers and referrals sources to get new business.
My question is that I'd really like to take the chance to get a lead generation/marketing/follow-up system in place early on. I'd love to hear of any resources which talks about the entire process. I'd really love something step by step using a lot of different mediums. Something that combines direct mail, email, walk-in prospecting, phone prospecting.
I started thinking more and more about directmail when I was constantly getting a real estate agents postcard mailer in my mailbox and then started seeing her signs appearing everywhere in my neighborhood.
Re: Use open source or custom coding?
- Good advice GT and like you I also like text where I can follow something step by step, but enjoy a video or audio to back it up. I need to use all my senses when I am learning something new.
Tanny thanks for the invite, wish I lived a bit closer to you.
