The following are the most widely used methods to leverage your existing marketing channels without overspending:

1. Make use of websites.

It is an excellent tool for data collection and providing you with relevant info regarding your email offers. Use forms that solicit your visitor's email address and permission. This is the perfect place to put in a box that offers them an item of value for submitting their name and e-mail address. Let’s say you knew your audience loves positive thinking and motivation…you could say “Would you like a free book? I’m giving away a free copy of “Think and Grow Rich” when you join our e-mail list!”

2. Make use of print ads, brochures, TV, radio and direct mail.

These are the more popular ways of marketing aiming to lead traffic to your website. You may want to ask for signups for email services. Make your website more visible through these media. Offering free e- newsletters and or rewards program can do well in making it easy to win the approval of your audiences, too. By advertising in offline and print media “Get our Free Report on the 7 ways to__________”, just visit our website at www._____________ ! This is a great way to get more web visitors and opt-in’s from money you already spend!

3. Maximize your sales force.

Customer service employees can help a lot in making you benefit more from your email messages.
Sales people with correct knowledge and strategy on how to help you in this can very well contribute to higher ROI.
Techniques like offering account updates and special programs through email can easily land you those lists of valuable visitors….or how about a free e-course on a topic that would help them? You create the series of messages once and then all you need to do is enter their name and e-mail address to the list and they begin receiving a series of e-mails with the info all sequenced out every week or so!

4. Don't make your point of sale pointless.

Forms for signup located at cash registers and other high-traffic and highly visible spots can be very excellent locations for you to collect email addresses. Notification of upcoming sales through their email addresses and names can convince them to give you their e-mail….and remember to make these e-mails fun and easy to read! Maybe a link to a funny YouTube Video!

5. Conferences or trade shows can work, too.

Giveaway offers or entries on sweepstakes are great for opt-in to volunteer their contact details.

These strategies should be applied with appropriate caution and should focus on earning the trust of your opt-in list instead of simply collecting data for your own benefit. Always make sure that the forms that you will use and other methods that you will use will not require too much hassle to subscribe…make it simple!

You can never go wrong with building an opt-in list, and using it the right way!

Re: This is the way to invent a longer day Re: This is the way to invent a longer day - [quote="ideasuniversity":z5bvmeuq]To invent a longer day is just to leverage your time by outsourcing your tasks to people. You can work 48 hours a day by doing this.[/quote:z5bvmeuq] Hi Yinka, Outsourcing is a great option if you don't have the time or want to leverage your time more effectively. Many marketers outsource their marketing and promotion work to others. Not a bad idea at all. How do you go about finding competent people to do your marketing for you?
Re: Who Said Twitter Doesn't Work...? Re: Who Said Twitter Doesn't Work...? - Almost any marketing method CAN work for anyone depending on a number of factors. But I consider a good marketing method to be one that works for the majority of people all the time (as long as they are doing it correctly). An example of that would be article marketing. Twitter, on the other hand, is something that does not work well as a marketing method for the majority of people, even though so many people want it to work so badly that they try to convince everyone that it does. I've yet to hear from even one internet marketer I know that the traffic they get from Twitter converts into money in some way on a regular basis. Yeah it happens on occasion but nothing compared to several other marketing methods that work for years to come such as link building, SEO, article marketing, etc... I still need more convincing before I start drinking the Twitter kool-aid as a marketing method. I have nothing against Twitter. I do have two accounts there and I get on almost every day for a little bit. But it just isn't good for business... At least not business as far as most of us here are concerned, which is internet marketing, affiliate marketing, Adsense, and a few other similar monetization methods.
Re: How can I promote my site? Re: How can I promote my site? - Use free marketing methods like article marketing, forum marketing, blogging, social bookmarking.
Re: How can I promote my site? Re: How can I promote my site? - You could promote your site through numerous methods. Some of the proven methods are 1) adding valuable content to your website, 2) increasing the inbound links to your website via article marketing, 3) PPC advertising through google adwords, 4) running a blog in your web site, 5) of course, social bookmarking etc. Thanks, Mr.Ven
Video conference system for families living in different cou Video conference system for families living in different cou - I have got idea from the situation I am now in. I live in the US while my family is located in Europe. Many times I was thinking that it would be so nice to have a dinner with my parents from time to time. But the problem is that I they are so far away from me, 8 hours to fly across the Atlantic. So here is my idea... There are video conference systems which are widely used in business. Why not to use them to be in touch with parents and relatives living in other countries? Technically it looks as follows. One of the existing video conference systems is installed in my apartment in the US and in the apartment of my parents in Europe. It must be a big monitor in a living room, video camera and a loud-speaking system that allows you to talk from any place of the room. This will creates an effect of physical presence - you can see and hear your family members all the time while you are in the room. It means that you can chat, have dinner or just spend time together with your family. There might be expensive or affordable solutions based on one of the existing video conference system and Internet connection. The company that provides this service will specifically market it as a system for people who live away from their families. There also will be delivery and support of this service in different countries and in different languages. The technology behind this idea is well known and widely used but it mostly targets business/corporate clients. Nobody markets this service at this angle. One more thought... I don't want to use a PC to provide this service. There are a lot of systems like that when you use a computer, you can use Skype or any other system, even for free. The disadvantage of this is that you have to have your computer turned on. But, my mother, for example, doesn't know how to use a computer at all. My idea is to provide service that will be as simple as TV. You come home, press a button and can see, talk and spend time with your family that is far away from you. I appreciate your comments and suggestion regarding my idea. Thank you, michael.j2ee@gmail.com
