Attracting Buyers to Your Web Site

Are you frustrated by sparse traffic to your small business web site? Do the people who visit browse deep into your site or do they visit your home page and leave?

If you are experiencing either of these problems it is likely that not enough people understand why they should visit your site. Instead of visiting your site with a clear purpose, the few you do are visiting to see what's there. When people visit a web site without a good idea of what to expect they tend to leave pretty quickly.

What steps can you take to ensure more people clearly understand why they should visit your web site. If your site suffers from anemic traffic you can use these ideas to boost the quantify and quality of traffic to your site and watch sales grow.

Use an Outstanding Marketing Message

The first step in building targeted traffic to your web site is to use a laser-focused marketing message. An outstanding and effective marketing message will quickly and unmistakably demonstrate your value to your market. Regardless of the method you employ to deliver your message and attract attention to your site (I.e. Advertising, networking, sales letters, etc.) a laser-focused marketing message will remove any ambiguity about how you help your clients and will draw more of the people who need your product or service. What's your marketing message?

Leverage the Power of Search Engines

We all know that hundreds of millions of keyword searches are performed every day on search engines like Google and Yahoo! Most of us know that each of these search engines displays two sets of results listings: natural or paid. Having your web site appear near the top of either set is a fantastic way to generate highly targeted traffic to your web site.

Winning a top, natural search engine listing can be very difficult, especially if you wish to compete for a word or phrase that many people search for and one that also appears in many web pages, like automobiles, for example. The practice of search engine optimization can get you the results you seek but, unfortunately, achieving top rankings can be laborious, time consuming and expensive. Achieving top spots for paid listings can be extremely costly especially in a competitive industry.

A third, highly effective but less known way to use search engines to drive targeted traffic to web sites is to use them indirectly. The idea is to have information about your web site and a link to your web site, appear on related web sites, 'feeder sites' that have done the hard and expensive work required to earn top listings. When you employ your marketing message in this context you can reliably drive quality traffic to your site without having to blow your marketing budget on search engine optimization or pay-per-click advertising.

Publish Articles

If you're wondering what type of information to use on a 'feeder site the answer is to write and distribute articles about how you help people. Doing so will help you position your company as an expert in your field and cause your future clients to think of you when they decide it is time to take action to solve a problem you solve or fill a need you can meet.

Combining your expertise with your marketing message and delivering them to an audience already thinking about the problem you solve will go a long way toward motivating your market to visit your website and learn more about how you can help them. The result will be more sales.

Move Your Marketing Forward™

If your web site suffers from weak traffic and sales you can improve your ability to convert visitors into customers by employing any of the above tactics. Be sure to use your marketing message in your ad copy and in your web site. You will notice an improvement not only in the quality of visitors to your site but also in your bottom line.

The consumers should have enough common sense to check out a program or product before buying it if they're worried it might be a scam. There's plenty of resources available to aide them in the process. But, unfortunately, everyone must suffer regardless.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - Hi, Tradeshows are attracting different types of people. First, the visitor, which is the main reason of putting it on. Visitors come from all types of background: Buyers, prospective buyers, people who had a business and failed, directors, shopkeepers and even the public. Secondly there are people who just like to meet new people, that is the best place to be. Exchange of business cards, make new contacts for future use. Thirdly, the exhibitors are mixing with one another either help one another or just want to fine out the newest trend. It is also a good place to meet with competitors and learn from their strategies. Finally, there are numerous seminars with excellent speakers, covering a wide range of information. Taking these points in consideration, they are beneficial. Of course, not every exhibitor has the same success.
