The Meaning of Confidence

Entrepreneurs must learn to be confident, and work at it regularly. That~{!/~}s not just because we want to feel good about ourselves. Self-worth can translate into net worth.

We often mistakenly assume that confidence is all in our heads. It~{!/~}s in our bodies too~{!*~}in the way we move, stand, and speak. Our bodies express our inner state, but it~{!/~}s also possible to train the body to communicate confidence.

We must know what we~{!/~}re capable of doing, and know what risks we~{!/~}re comfortable taking. Sometimes it~{!/~}s good to try to expand these limits, but it~{!/~}s never wise to ignore them. That can ruin your sleep, threaten your sanity, and cause you to do a lousy job besides.

Some people~{!*~}and they are always other people~{!*~}seem to be born confident. The rest of us must work at it. That~{!/~}s all right. The results reward the effort. If we expect others to appreciate our worth, we must first do so ourselves.

Boosting Confidence Boosting Confidence - Confidence is something all of us women could stand to have infused in our blood 24/7! It’s one of those areas that many struggle with the most. Through my coaching practice, I’ve discovered an underlying thread that seems to undermine confidence in some women. It has to do with confusing true confidence with pride or arrogance. Confidence is being sure of who you are and what you are able to do in a way that does not compare yourself to others. It is not dependent on value because every one of us women is valuable. Pride or arrogance is when someone lifts him or herself above others as if they are more valuable than others. It also seems to be related to "approval addiction" where the self esteem must continually be fed by others or they don't feel good about themselves. Thus, some arrogant people put others down so they can see themselves as above. Confidence is simply being all of the great woman you already are. You want to create a great business and you want to do your job well. It is not prideful to be confident in what you are doing. I invite you to give yourself permission to really let your abilities come forward and see what happens to you and your business as a result. I’d also love to hear what methods you have for boosting your own confidence.
Re: That First Customer! Re: That First Customer! - Hey Tristan, Another thing to consider is to think about how targeted your visitors are. Meaning, are they actually looking for what you have to offer, and if so, are they finding it. Proper keyword research and testing will help you bring in targeted leads from the search engines. I think this will help you get that first customer and keep bringing in more and more customers.
Going Global Going Global - johnburns - Do you have all the "accounting" done for these territories? Meaning, do you have an established price point? Who is going to pay the set-up fees? Who is responsible for the registration fees, etc.? Are you willing to pay for it out of the "cost" of the territory, or increase the cost by those factors?
Re: Twitter, Social Networking: What's Your method? Re: Twitter, Social Networking: What's Your method? - I still have yet to jump on the Twitter bandwagon. I see it talked about EVERYWHERE all the time, so I know I am probably missing out on something, but I just can't see the point in it. I've thought about signing up just to check it out for myself. Maybe I will do that now that I took the time to write this. Does anyone actually get traffic from Twitter that is worth spending all the time on there? Meaning does it convert into money in some way, or is it just traffic for the sake of getting traffic?
