Promotional products: the Multifunctional roles -

The one and only aim of promotional products is to give fillip to a company’s brand image apart from getting the most out of the return on investment. Promotional products are one step ahead of advertising through conventional modes like print, radio and television and play a versatile role in promoting the image of the company at cost effective rates. Apart from endorsing brand image, promotional products can do the following wonders with your business:
Companies introduce their brand image by providing company’s logo, name, website address, contact number and even address on Promotional products. Thus these products help in acting as an intermediary between a company and their ensuing customers.
These promotional products provide awareness about the company’s launch of a new product in the market.
Promotional products help build a reputation of the brand in the market showcasing comprehensive description about the company’s business and what a consumer can expect from their business.
Promotional products provide a good platform in launching public awareness programs on safety, environment, health hazards, benefits of immunization, road safety etc.
By providing promotional products free of charge the demand for these freebies increases, with the result more and more people will look out for a particular brand which is supplying the “Free” promotional product, thus enhancing the brand image of the company.
Trade fairs, exhibitions, conventions are a good place to distribute promotional products to the masses.
It is a wise advice to distribute promotional items after taking into consideration the target audience of the event like whether it is a political meet where promotional products like caps, shirts, pins, visors etc., will be distributed. Or it is a travel agent who wants to convince the consumers by providing/distributing traveling bags, caps, t-shirts, mugs etc., in an endeavor to promote his brand. Otherwise whether it is a financial or insurance company who is introducing new policy in the market or it is an individual or company who just wants to popularize its name. If a company is on a tight schedule they can take the assistance of the web or online catalogue and can choose the promotional products in a variety of colors or sizes, in which your company’s logo and tag line would be embossed.
Whether you are celebrating silver, golden or platinum jubilee of your company or your company has come with flying colors in a prestigious tournament, or it is a very important annual convention of your company. You can gift Promotional products to your loyal employees who stand by our company in every event of turbulent or success of your organization thus providing a great bond and showing your credibility that you care for employees.
Employees after receiving the memento will remember in the years to come about the company and inform their friends and colleagues that how your company care for their employees, thus providing word of mouth publicity of your brand.

Re: Are we defined by what we do for a living? Re: Are we defined by what we do for a living? - Interesting subject - as you know Kevin, I've discussed some of Eckart Tolle's materials before and this topic is covered in his latest book. In particular - The roles we play in society and our identification with the role. His warning is to be aware of your different roles and not get to wrapped up in your identity with the role. One example he uses is the Doctor who looks at patients as statistics and merely a case #. When this happens, the doctor no longer views the patient as an emotional being and more of a case study. The point is - that the doctor is so identified with his role that he has lost touch with the spririt and essence of the human lying in front of him. When we get too attached to our roles - even as parents - we tend to take them very seriously and believe in the role, for example, perceiving a child as uneducated and in need of constant supervision, when in fact the child is very aware and often living more consciously than the adult. The roles have value, just be aware that it's a role. Are we defined by what we do for a living? Only if we are unconscious of the roles we play. You can still have fun with it - just be aware.
Re: looking for experienced affiliate feedback Re: looking for experienced affiliate feedback - Hi All, I appreciate everyone's input. Thank you. I don't feel as though we've gotten to the core of the issue yet. "Hiring" or enlisting the service of affiliate salespeople shouldn't really be any different than hiring someone straight out to market the product. The difference is in the way payment is made, ie. through a type of commission taken from the sale near the time of the sale. Whereas I could just pay someone a flat fee or a by-the-hour rate and directly hire him/her or a firm to market and sell my product. The firm I hire doesn't expect me to do their work for them, do they? Isn't that why I'm hiring them .... because they have the interest, skills and a functioning business already in place to do the job I'm hiring them for. Why am I supposed to do the sales work beforehand to hire, entice or interest an affiliate? If it's their business shouldn't they be the ones seeking me and my products - or you and your products? Obviously I have to make them available. Am I misunderstanding roles here? Nancy
Re: Fashion Re: Fashion - Nana, At you choice you may choose to research the fashion industry a bit more. There is obviously a Business side to it as well as a creative side to it. Find out all the types of roles that exist in the industry. Some that come to mind merchandiser, Window dresser, floor plan organizer (someone needs to determine the layout of a retail store to best sell the goods), fashion consultant (Yorkdale mall has fashion consultants that take you around and tell you what looks great on you - you also get a cut from the sales). This is what I've observed from the business side, you may know more. All these roles I've written about will help you grow as a business person and make the contacts in the industry...possible stepping stones. But further more you'll also notice that you need to develop some business acumen possibly tailored to the fashion industry. When I was at Ryerson I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur someday too. I knew I needed some basic business courses to get a foundation to build from. I was in a Tech/Business Major (I'm sure Fashion has something similar - Fashion/Business Major) and then started to create my own minor. Here are some of the courses I took: Marketing, Law, Entrepreneurial, Management, consulting.. and a few more . Also, I'm sure that within the Fashion Major there are also courses you have to take where you can use your creative side and create designs. Typically within a Major there are focuses you can choose - ask the program coordinator. Your next step is to do some research. 1. Visit Commercial retail outlets like H&M, Banana Republic, or jacob. Tell the Manager your doing some research for University and would like to know what types of Corporate roles exist aside from the roles on the retail floor (like sales associates). If she asks you to elaborate then you can use some of the roles I mentioned above. 2. With this information in hand you can visit the Ryerson Fashion department and inquire with the Program Coordinator on what focus within the Fashion Degree would help you the most. In my program there were 5 different focuses within the Tech/Business program. Just a quick aside. A good friend of mine too has a dream of fashion. he want to create a niche fashion line tailored to skinny men (I can't mention the style). He's in Business school but not in the Fashion program... He's in International Business but all his Minor courses are tailored to running a successful business ... similar to the ones I mentioned above for myself. I have no doubt in my mind he'll make it 'cos his vision is that strong.

Re: Do you have an affinity to making money??? Re: Do you have an affinity to making money??? - Hi ideasuniversity, I think we all enjoy making money and hopefully using it wisely, LOL. It is interesting to see that you are getting involved with Aloe Vera products as these seem to have remarkable advantages for health and wellbeing for many people. I almost became involved here a few years back with a company which was called something like Forever Living products who seemed to be very active but ultimately I didn’t follow it up but I can understand your enthusiasm for the products as you can get anything from Aloe Vera toothpaste up over, the range of products is incredible, best of luck with your efforts, regards, Mal.
