Park Visitor Welcome Kits Offer a Unique Space to Reach Target Audiences

Companies are continually searching for new and effective ways to reach their target audience. As the media world shifts, it becomes more important than ever to find avenues to reach large yet targeted markets. For example, a tool company that advertises on a home improvement program will most likely reach more potential costumers than if they advertised during a game show. Outside of television though, there are few avenues available where companies can gain both wide exposure and reach a targeted audience. The Park Visitor Welcome Kit does just that.
There are 730 visits to state parks each year. In parks that offer the kits, a park ranger greets visitors by handing them a Park Visitor Welcome Kit. The kit offers companies a unique way to target a premium consumer base. A State Park Visitor Profile shows the average visitor’s median income is $82,000+ per year. 28% have a Master’s or Doctorate degree, and 33% have a Bachelors degree. Therefore, a typical visitor is more educated and has a higher income than most. The “green” aspect of the companies advertising in The Park Visitor Welcome Kit is especially appealing to this demographic.
For 2009, the projected readership of The Park Visitor Welcome Kits is over 18 million adults. With so many eyes looking over the kits, more and more companies are taking advantage of this targeted way to reach these consumers. The kits are designed to inspire and inform; they include a map and other useful state-specific and regional park information.

Re: How should i promote a new website? Re: How should i promote a new website? - ignore this message IF it's already been stated. I haven't had a chance to read all the replies and i have to jet from the office... I suggest marketing where ever your Target Market congregates. If it's a forum of concerned parents - go there. Strike up a deal with the forum owner (JV) and have him promote it to the list of members (Integration Marketing). If you want to go with Forums then i would partner with a parent who is a frequent poster/moderator on a particular Target Market Forum and have him/her add your link to their signature. That was just a thought but it's not as intense once you get buy in from the Forum owner or high ranked poster/moderator. Hope that sparks some new ideas.
