Did we forget how to sell?

Did we forget how to sell?

I attended the Hanover Park Professional Development breakfast this past Thursday. Mark Papadas, presented his R.A.P.I.D. Sales Method. This is a process EVERY sale goes through, no matter what you sell. I don't want to give too much away, you can connect with Mark to learn more, but I wanted to talk about the "I" of his outstanding process.

"I" stands for Invite to Buy.I know that I have been guilty of NOT doing this. We go through our sales presentation, we handle all of the objectives and... That's it! We forget to ask them to buy. Of course, if you have a great presentation and handle their objections AND they need the product or service THEY ask to buy.

Is that what we are waiting for? During your next sales presentation, I hope you remember this very important part of the process. I did. Later in the day on Thursday, I had an appointment, went through my sale presentation and asked for the sale! Guess what, I got it!

Amazing, isn't it?

Re: private label rights Re: private label rights - Don't think of PLR as just articles or written work. Also consider actual products. Example if you were to create or have someone create a "backlink creator", you can sell the PLR to that. In this case it can be easier to make more money and faster. Instead of you having to market and sell something for $20 sell the PLR to 100 people for $100 then they can sell for whatever they want. If you were to get 100 people to buy it at $20 that is $2000 for you. Now if you were to sell the PLR to your product to 100 people for $100, obviously that is better... So if PLR is done properly you can make a lot of money... I have some things I will be getting into in 2009 that relate to this subject, so I will share as I progress.
Make your strategy Make your strategy - First up, you need to identify where you want to go; 1. Who do you want to sell to? 2. How do you want to sell it to them? 3. What do you have to work with in the way of resources. 4. How much do you need to sell it. 5. What do you need to sell it. 6. What makes your product different to everyone else’s? I saw your design, you're a talented graphic artist, but immediately selling a design featuring only your logo without an existing market presence to back it may prove to be a mistake. Have you thought about offering a range of apparel, or even offering custom designs to people as an option?
Re: How should i promote a new website? Re: How should i promote a new website? - [quote="mbrand2222":2axnoxdu]I forgot to mention another good one. Leave you business cards (with your website on it) in public places that you go. Even in bathrooms on the sink or on top of the hand blow dryer. People are curious as to what it might say. Also make sure you put something on it that will tell them what you sell. Not just the name of your business.[/quote:2axnoxdu] On the rare occasions I use the buss I forget one on the seat.
Start off strategy Start off strategy - What so far or do you foresee being your biggest objection to your target market? If it is price offer a two for one deal, to start off. Or a trial size. I got a trial size of 303 cleaner for my boat and although it is at least twice as expensive as any other product I have seen it works twice as well so I pay the expense. If customers question effectiveness of your product then offer a money back guarantee. Also don't forget your testimonials. One other idea is a contest to find the toughest stain removed by your product. This can help the company sell more products down the road.
Online Teen Magazine... Tips Online Teen Magazine... Tips - If you're starting a teen mag, it's going to be about parties, sex and celebrities. anything else won't sell...you're going to have to decide whether you're going to sell to guys or girls...sell to guys...I hear that category is growing and easier to break into (less competition). what about wired meets playboy, with a new CD in every issue? 2. magazines are started by you going around to get LOI signed by prospective advertisers/sponsors 3. if you can do that, you can then think about how to get an editor
