I Need Some Help

How often do you ask for help from others? If you're like me, it's a hard thing to do. Many of us are taught that asking for help equates to not being capable, to admitting some kind of flaw or weakness.

That's a pretty big piece of Gravity thinking. It limits us - personally and professionally. In today's world no one can do it all, know it all, think of it all.

It is time we ditched our aversion to 'help' - forever.

We need the help of our customers and prospects to help us define our best and most compelling value in our business. We need the help of trusted associates and team members to help us think differently - to see beyond our knowns and into innovative approaches for growth.

We all need help from time to time.

For example, I have launched over 100 companies and products. That should make me an expert on market launches. Yet to launch Defy Gravity - I had to ask for help. I didn't know the mechanisms the power of successful book launch - even if I am a market launch expert.

In today's market, we need to constantly rethink our business strategy, our value, our markets and our approaches. Yet thanks to Gravity, it is hard for us to think differently on our own. We are already programmed with strong thought patterns about our business.

And that is why it's time to add this simple question to our business process.

"I need some help, please."
