The Gravity of I Can't
The more I learn about Gravity, the more I learn how sneaky it is. I find Gravity within myself in the most unexpected, places - areas of my life where I would swear to you that I have cleared all remnants of limitation and past programming.
Here's yet another example of my own personal Gravity.
Last week I was skiing at Squaw Valley with a friend. She mentioned that the condo in her building might be available for sale and that I should look at it. This location is the primo location for all Squaw Valley. I admit it, I have coveted her place ever since she and her husband got it. My dream has been to own a place like theirs at the base of Squaw. Wow.
My original reaction was, "That's great but I could never afford one of these." But then I started thinking - why do I believe that? My consulting business is booming again now that I've finished my book and consciously decided to start working again, Defy Gravity and my speaking around it is taking off like a rocket.
2011 promises to be the best year of my life - personally, professionally and financially. So why the big Gravity brick holding me back?
I began to feel my way through that question, began to visualize the life of my dreams coming to me now- not at some distant point in the future. I learned that it was really hard to pull that vision into my present.
But then, I had even more help from the Universe as another piece of my dream appeared directly in my path.
I am planning on finding my ranch in 2011. I was planning on finding it in 2010 but the book took priority. I was planning on finding in 2009 but something else to priority - I can't remember what now. These days I'm telling myself I have to wait till the end of 2011 - because the money will come, life will be calmer. I realize now that I've been doing that for the past three years - pushing it out, pushing it out.
The day I got home from skiing, my real estate agent sent me a property that appears to be everything I have been looking for in a ranch, in the exact location I want, at a price that's in my range.
Wow. Ski place in Tahoe, ranch with my horses - the opportunity to live my dream placed in front of me.
And still my brain says, "I can't I can't I can't."
