Did you ever think that a recession would allow you jump start your way to becoming a millionaire? History has told us before and I’m sure that it will again. In case you didn’t know, here are some remarkable millionaire stories from people who started their business during a recession and made it. Toys ‘R’ Us Back in 1948 during a time of high inflation, a 25-year-old named Charles Lazarus took a gamble. The gamble was that rising birth rates would sustain his baby-furniture business. He soon added along with furniture and the next thing he knew he was opening a store that sold only tows. Shopping carts and long aisles filled with toys and we now know this as Toys ‘R’ Us. Microsoft In 1975 a man by the name of Bill Gates graduates from Harvard and joins a partnership with a friend by the name of Paul Allen. Together they make software using basic programming language until the creation of MS-DOS during another recession in 1981. The company went on to become a household name, Microsoft. Burger King Corp. The company began in 1954 when James McLamore and David Edgerton opened a Burger King restaurant in Miami, Fla. During another recession in 1957, the company introduced its successful signature burger — the Whopper. Today, the company operates more than 11,100 locations in 65 countries. Success does not come overnight but through hard work and determination. Team work can accelerate your success during a recession. Are you ready to become the next success story?
