Profitable Online Business Ideas and the Recession; Building Relationships

     In the online internet based industry it is very easy to forget that we are still in the people business. People by the millions from all over the world want to create their own profitable online business. They all have fears and concerns. Which system do I choose? Which MLM is more reputable? The list goes on and on. But the biggest fear or concern that they all have in common is; the need to be associated with caring and honest people.

     Whether you are building an online business, an MLM type business or a totally automated internet business we are still in a people business. We all need people to join our system or our organization. If you are only selling a product, you need people to buy it. If you are providing a service, you still need people to purchase your service. All of our businesses need other people. And the one common thread in all of this is; all of those people are looking for honest and reputable people that they can trust to do business with. I was taught many years ago in life and in business to always treat others the way I would want to be treated, and that one truth has always served me well. Before you start your business make that commitment to yourself and your business to always deal with each person with integrity. When you deal with the very first person ask yourself how you would like to be treated in the relationship. Because that's what this home based business industry is really all about, relationships. If people trust you they will get into business with you.

     It is also about leadership. People are looking for someone to lead them. When Charmayne and I got into this online home based business we were looking for someone to lead us. We were looking for someone to teach us and most of all we were looking for someone we could trust. We were totally new to this industry. We had built traditional brick and mortar businesses before but never an in home internet business. We wanted to follow someone who was a leader, someone we could trust and who would train us to be leaders too. You may not find that combination right away. We didn't. We tried several systems and companies before we found the one for us. Some systems we tried just simply lied to us. Some promised to help train us and never did. The key is we kept looking until we found the right one. Remember; if you stay persistent in building your own successful online home based business, you too will someday be a leader. You will be someone that people look up to for guidance and encouragement.

     People today are also looking for a connection with other people. It's very easy to make the mistake of wanting to build your business with no real and personal interaction with people. If you will build your business with a personal touch the rewards will be tremendous. People are yearning for even a small personal touch. They want to know that they are part of a group that truly cares. Remember we are in a people business. The ones who are the most successful in the MLM, network marketing or home based online business industry are the ones who really care about other people. Don't give up. Keep looking until you find a system you feel comfortable with.
