Profitable Online Business Ideas and the Recession, Keeping Focused

In a previous article we discussed taking action. Nothing happens in our lives or business until we take action. Just as the saying goes, you can't move a parked car. I would like to go a little deeper into this subject. One of the most important things you can do once you take action is to keep focused.

Don't confuse staying on task with keeping focused. There is a difference. It's easy to stay on task when everything is going well. It's easy to stay on task when you see results all over the place. Most employers and large companies will structure their business so it is easy for their employees to stay on task. But we are building our own online in-home business. We don't have employers looking over our shoulders. We don't have managers, lead men or other employees to help us keep on task. As men and women building our own profitable online in-home businesses, what we need is to remain focused.

What's going to keep us on track when we are sick? What's going to keep us on track or focused, when little Johnny or little Susie gets in trouble at school? What's going to keep us focused when we can't pay our rent, or our car payment? What is going to keep us focused to keep building our business when our boss tells us we have to work overtime everyday now? I hope you see where I am going with this. There is always going to be some crisis in our life. And it almost always seems that the easy thing to do is to put our business on the back burner. The focus problem is so closely tied to the inaction problem. I'll do it later. I'll do it tomorrow. I don't have the money, and on and on. What's the answer? It's focus. Successful people have the keen ability to keep focused on their businesses, and their dreams and goals. How big is our desire for our own home based business? When our dreams and goals for our lives and futures are big enough, the circumstances in our lives just aren't that important.

You can always tell the people who do not have a very big dream or vision for their lives. They are always overcome by the circumstances in their lives. Everyone has circumstances and challenges in their lives. Successful people just choose not to focus on the unimportant things. Ask yourself this, are the circumstances and challenges in my life right now going to matter in five years? If not, don't worry about them! The average person's problems that they have right now, won't matter at all when they have a high six or seven figure a year profitable online in-home business! The key is to stay focused. When you stay focused for a little while and then circumstances side rail you, it takes so much more to get moving again. It's so much easier to just remain focused and keep building your business through the struggles. Then you don't have to keep starting, and starting again and again!

So how do we remain focused on building our business in the midst of challenges and circumstances? Remember earlier when our dreams and visions for our lives are big enough, the circumstances just don't matter! You have to have a burning desire. Just wanting to make money from home is not enough. Everyone will tell you they want more in life. But as you've probably noticed, most people remain where they are in life. They just have a want, not a burning desire, a dream and a vision that is so large it almost consumes them. They want it so bad that they don't let the problems of life side track them from achieving their goals and dreams. In short, they remain focused!

What is your dream and vision for your life? Mine is probably not the same as yours. Everyones is different. But some are the same. Mine was to work from home with my wife. She is my best friend, and we got married to be together. We both just hated and I do mean hated, to go to work in separate directions. We wanted to work from home, together. We realized to do that we needed an online in-home business. We wanted to make money from home, but we didn't focus on the money. We new money would buy our freedom, but we focused on being home together, not on the money. We didn't let things distract us from our dream. We were tired when we got home from our jobs, just like anyone else, but we worked on our business anyway. If something happened that we couldn't work on our business one day, we did twice or three times as much the next day. We remained focused. We didn't look at the challenges in our lives, we looked at our dreams and goals and the vehicle that was going to achieve those dreams and goals for us, our home based business. We have other dreams and goals for our lives and the lives of our family members, but this was the one that just burned at us and kept us focused.

So, what's your dream and vision for your life? Think about it, build it big. Make it so big that it almost scares you and then think about it all day long. Write it down on paper. Share it with others. You can achieve your dreams. Just take action on a consistent basis and remain focused. Don't let anything side track you. You can do it, and I know you will do it! Dare to dream big!
