Profitable Online Business Ideas and the Recession; My Story

We have written several articles with clues and ideas on building a successful and profitable online home based business. My wife and I were thinking that many of you are probably asking the question why did we build this business and who are Wendell and Charmayne Vannatter. I'm sure the biggest question you have is, was it easy, and does it really work? And can I do this, will it work for me? I think the proper place to start is at the beginning.

My name is Wendell Vannatter. I was born and raised in a small town in the mountains of northern Idaho. I didn't come from money, quit the opposite. We were a blue collar, hard working family. Logging and millwork were the predominant industries in my home town. I was taught to work hard. My grandfather was the main influence in my life. He was a good man with wonderful values. His home life and family life was just incredible. All the good values in my life I owe to him.

I grew up working hard at a very young age. Shortly after high school I was working in the woods as a timber faller and machine operator. It was hard work and very dangerous work. I was seriously hurt a few times and a few of my friends were killed on the job. I can remember going back to work after I was injured one spring. I was out of shape from being off work and was so tired. I sat down on a log and was thinking, "There just has to be a different way, and there has to be another way to make money." No one had told me about being a business owner, that there was an easier way. I started looking at different people's lives that were in life where I wanted to be. One day it dawned on me out of the blue that they were all in business for themselves, they all owned their own business. No one in my family had ever owned their own business. I had no clue as to what kind of business or how to get it, but the journey in my mind to business ownership had started.

It was a few years later when I had met a gentleman who owned a small manufacturing company in Montana. I really didn't know anything about it or if it even made money, but the idea intrigued me. I started thinking about it and how I could move it to my home town and enlarge the business. I had no clue how I was going to do this; I just knew deep inside me that I could. About that time I was seriously hurt in the woods. I was on crutches for almost nine months and went through nine surgeries. I knew I had to make a change. For the nine months I was laid up I worked every day to purchase that business. I had no money, I had no financing, but I knew deep inside I could do this. All the banks in my home turned me down on a loan, even the SBA turned it down. I had put together a prospectus and started knocking on doors of people I knew who had money for investment capital. Day after day it was a big NO. The man who owned the business was finally tired of waiting for me to get the financing together and gave me one more week to purchase. Two days before the deadline a man I had talked to at the beginning came to me with a check to purchase the company. His words were, "I have watched you for nine months going door to door to put this together, and I know you'll make it work. Here's the money, go get it." We went and got it and were moved, set up and running two days later. If you have a dream that's big enough and you believe in it enough and you don't give up, mountains really will move for you.

That business was a success and we lived a very good lifestyle. But after a few years I noticed some things that are just normal in a traditional brick and mortar business. First, you can never get away from it, it really owns you, and you really don't own it. You can hire people to help you run it, but rarely will you find anyone who cares about it the way you do. Problems, oh yes! Employee problems. Regulation and government problems. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. I finally realized how I really wanted to live. But I thought it was just fantasy. I wanted to be home with my family every day. I wanted to make money from home. I wanted to work from home on my terms. I wanted residual income so I could travel with my wife whenever I wanted to. I didn't know anything like this existed. Charmayne and I had talked about it and the only thing we could think of was a home based online business, but we didn't know anything about it. So I started researching on the internet. We tried a lot of things that didn't work, but we didn't give up, that's the key. We finally found a system that truly works, that really does what they said it would.

Is it easy? It's much easier than working a job. I write articles and share the ideas with others, so much easier than logging or construction. We have helped others to change their lives too. It's working for them. Some that we have helped are actually ahead of us now, and that's a wonderful feeling, to know you have helped others to change their lives! Will it work for you? Absolutely! It will work for you too if you do the work. It's not a get rich quick, overnight thing. You have to put in the effort. You have to follow instructions, but if you do those things it will work for you too. But let me tell you, it sure beats working a job! Take a step of action to change your life today. You can do this, we believe in you!
