People worldwide are craving one universal thing, leadership. Most people view the word leadership as just being a leader. It is so much more than that. There is so much more to being a leader than just saying, "Follow me!" Let's talk about the kind of a leader people want to follow and how we can all become one.

In today's world of unrest and tyranny there are "leaders" all over the world that people really do not want to follow, they simply have no choice. True, the man is a leader; he is just not one that people want to follow. The world is crying out for leadership with integrity, honesty and morale values. Leaders who possess those qualities are the men and woman that people want to follow. I know what you are thinking, what does that have to do with business? It has everything to do with it. The home based online internet industry is a people business. The MLM, network marketing and internet marketing industry is a people business. As we are building and creating our in-home businesses what do we need? People! Our businesses are no different than the world, people are looking for honest leadership to follow, leadership with integrity. People are desiring to create their own online businesses, but they want to be involved with a person they can trust.

I do not believe that leaders are just born. I believe leaders are developed. None of us started out in life at a finished state, we all developed over time. We all developed good qualities as well as bad qualities. The one thing we all have in common is the ability to change. If we all take an honest look at ourselves, at times we see things in ourselves that we don't like. If we truly desire to be a better person we can change those things. The one trait that I have noticed in good leaders, the kinds of leaders that people want to follow is that they all are constantly striving to be "better" people. They are humble and are willing to change. That is why there is so much room at the top of any online internet home based business for leaders. So many people are not willing to change.

True leadership really has nothing to do with education, many leaders barely made it out of high school. It has nothing to do with status or income level, many real leaders started out very poor. Real leadership has everything to do with character and attitude. It's not about ordering people around but about leading people by example. Why would we tell someone to do something that we are not willing to do ourselves? We need to lead by example. We need to do more than what we are asking others to do. Sadly, none of us were taught in school how to be leaders. I believe we all have the ability to learn. Life is a journey of constant learning. Leaders are readers. There are many good books on leadership and character building. Order some good books and start reading today.

If you have one person in your organization, you are a leader. Ask yourself, what kind of a leader do I want to be? Will you be proud to have your followers duplicate your work habits? If you can honestly say yes to that question, you're on the right track. When we work at home in our home based business it is easy to have the attitude that it doesn't matter about my character or leadership qualities, after all I work at home, no one ever see's me. Reject those thoughts. Remember; the leaders that people want to follow are always striving to change to become better people. And the world is crying out for leaders with integrity to follow. You can truly change to become the person you want to be. And you can start that journey today.
