Profitable online Business Ideas; Success and Failure Part 2

Guest post by: Wendell & Charmayne Vannatter

Article Overview: As I stated in part 1, I feel this article is more about success than failure. People who succeed, succeed for specific reasons. People who fail, fail for specific reasons. People who succeed have specific habits that they adhere to every day, on a consistent basis. People who fail have their habits that they consistently follow too. I will be listing some habits and attributes of successful people and comparing them with habits of those who fail.

Profitable online Business Ideas; Success and Failure Part 2

As I stated in part 1, I feel this article is more about success than failure.

There is a saying that people often quote. I find it amusing that almost all the people I've heard quote this saying; never understand its true meaning. Here goes,"The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer." How true this is, and that's a good thing! Take this to heart! The rich keep getting richer, because they keep doing the things that got them rich in the first place! Why do the poor get poorer?  For the same reason. They keep doing the things that got them poor in the first place!

Number One: You must be willing to change! It's really basic. If doing what you've been doing could get you rich, you'd be rich already. So it all boils down to the simplest equation, you must change some things. Change is the one thing that people fear most. Change is never an easy thing, but it's a necessity. All life is about change, nothing ever stays the same. We are always changing, whether we like it or not. We are getting older, fatter, balder etc. I know how you feel, I felt the same way. But the circumstances I was in, was more painful than the fear of change, so I chose to change. It doesn't all have to be over night either. Just recognizing that we need to change is a start. Life is a journey, success is a journey. It's a lifetime process, and every journey begins with the first step. Be willing to change, decide to change. It all starts with our thought process. Rich people think differently than poor people. Start with changing your thoughts. This was probably the hardest thing for me. Think about success, abundance, wealth. Think positive thoughts, refuse to entertain negative thoughts. Think positive thoughts about yourself, believe in yourself!

Number Two: Make a decision, take action! Most people never accomplish anything of significance because they never take the first step. Making a decision to do something is the first step towards success. It never ceases to amaze me, how many people will talk, talk about doing something different or new, but never take action. That's the second most fearful thing people have, taking that first step. But you must realize nothing will change in your life until you take action! Find yourself a successful person who will be your mentor, who will be with you for that first step and each step of the way. They are out there. Find positive books and read, read, read! Fill your mind with positive things. Remember; if thinking the way you do could get you riches, you would already be rich! It all starts with your thoughts.

Number Three: Don't stop! Once you realize you need to change, and once you make that decision to change, and once you take that first step, Don't Stop! Keep moving forward. And remember, you will have failure, every successful person does. Successful people have failed over and over again, they just never quit. If you ask any successful person, they will tell you that they are successful because they failed more than the average person, they are successful because they never gave up. All success is built on failure. Every single one of them! You cannot succeed unless you fail. All success is built on failure. We learn from our failures, we learn what not to do. Thomas Edison failed ten thousand times before he found the proper filament for the light bulb. The key, he never gave up! If you ever learn anything, please learn this, just don't give up! Learn from your mistakes and keeping moving forward. When you fail and you will, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going!

Number Four: Find a mentor or a proven system. In this industry you can have both. A mentor and a proven system has everything laid out for you. A proven plan for you to follow. Common sense says follow a proven system that works, and has been proven to work. Why re-invent the wheel? Learn from someone else's failure. This is where many, many people who come into this industry fail; they want to do it their own way. When they fail, they get discouraged and claim the system does not work and they quit. Remember, learn from your mistakes, don't quit, and keep going. Success never rewards quitters!

Success is out there for those who get up each morning and make a conscious effort to move towards it. Work hard for it, everyday. Think about it every day. Want and desire it more than anything else. Remember, successful people didn't get that way by accident. They made the necessary changes in their life, and worked hard for it every day. It's out there for you too! Make the decision today.

Why A Project Fails? Why A Project Fails? - Hello Everyone As the size and complexity of ones business grows, so does their need to effectively manage projects. I have been thinking about the major reasons why a project can go wrong and my limited experience comes up with the following. 1 Leadership: A project manager with leadership skills and not just management skills. 2 Failure to (Foresee and) Plan 3 Failure to Manage: Ineffective change management control methods. Unclear decision making guidelines. 4 Talent: Finding, allocating and developing people 5 Scope: Setting an overly ambitious or amibigious project scope 6 Alignment: When projects are not prioritized in alignment with the business strategy, or project members personal objectives are not in tandem with that of the project / company 7 Lack of Candor: Communication Breakdowns I would be interested in knowing everyone's thoughts on this, especially on ways to overcome the above mentioned obstacles. Cheers!
