By now you have probably heard from every internet guru how important branding yourself is for internet success, or success in any business. But, how do you get started attracting people to you when you have no experience and don’t really know what you are talking about yet? Well, there are a few things you have to realize first.
Internet success doesn’t happen overnight.
Nobody really becomes an overnight success in any business. They might seem like they have made a terrific rise to stardom in a short period of time, but ask almost all of them and they will tell you of the years they spent learning the lessons through trial and error and hard knocks. You here of Mike Dillard who went from waiter to a seven figure income in 18 months, but you don’t here of the six years he spent struggling in the industry before he had a breakthough.
The same can be said for many of the top internet guys like Jay Kubassek, Frank Kern, Perry Belcher and so many more. But what they will all tell you after struggling to make ANY money online, their first few hundred dollars was the breakthough they needed to realize they could do it and it all carries on from there. No offense to these guys, but when you look at their backgrounds and where they were before becoming millionaires, it should give everyone reading this article the encouragement that if they can do it, anyone can.
Learning to brand yourself.
Everyone has the ability to become an expert and become a leader. Even if you are just getting started and don’t know your market yet, you can become a perceived expert by reporting on other people’s work in your industry. It is really simple. You just find an article or educational piece or training and take some notes and write a review for it. You are taking the expert opinions of experienced professionals in your industry and report about it. You then establish yourself as someone of knowledge who is sharing this valuable content. You put your name out there and attach it to this content and all of a sudden you are the person who has delivered the helpful information and people start to view you as a good source for quality information.
You may also tell your own story, even if it is unfolding. Show your progress and become your own case study so you can show others how to have internet success. People are looking for someone they can trust and is a leader. If they see that you are having results starting from scratch and having humble beginnings, they will be attracted to that and will follow your story and your progress and believe themselves they can do it too.
To get started branding yourself, you have to own your name. You want to rank in the search engines for your own name, Neil Howe, Who is Neil Howe, Neil Howe reviews, Neil Howe scam, Neil Howe legal. These are the common searches people do when searching out someone. You need to make a short video telling your story and use these keywords and make sure you rank top for these keywords. Once people see you and listen to your authentic story, they will make a decision if you are worthy of their trust and money.
Internet success has a marketing system
All the marketers I mentioned above had their breakthrough once they had established a marketing system. It could have been something they designed themselves, but most likely following a system they decided to put their faith and belief in. You see, systems do work. It is a basic input-output principal. Once you have a system set up that is designed to produce a result, all you need is to put in the correct elements for it to work.
This is the difference between success and failure on the internet and all business. What makes McDonald’s work so well? They follow a system at every establishment and they produce consistent results that people pay over a million dollars to acquire and own a franchise.
It is the same with a business marketing system. Once you find one to follow and you actually do it. There is success. Most people don’t have a system to follow and just sit at their computers and do what they think they need to be doing. These are mostly the 95% of people who fail in thier internet business.
Some systems are created better than others and it is your due dilligence to search out the one that will work best for you and your goals.
Some are designed to make a few hundred dollars, others are designed to make many thousands to millions. It is up to you to figure out how much money you want to make and if you are willing to follow a system that is designed to do that for you.
So, realize this. Nobody becomes an overnight internet success. There is a lot of work and learning involved before that happens. You start now by branding yourself in everything you do and get your story out there. You buy into a system and follow along and you will achieve that internet success and have the financial breakthrough that you are looking for to change your life. Then, your story will change and you can tell all the more people how you have gone from rags to riches and encourage more and more people to follow you and copy your system and results.
