There has been a point in all of our lives where we wake up, go to work and wonder, "Is this it?" I can tell you that I have personally been there several times in the past; and had continued to search for a better way to start my home based business so I could get out of my rut. I found several opportunities where everything seemed to work out, but then I backed out at the last minute. I questioned myself as to why and realized that it was mostly because I had become frozen by fear. Not just fear of failing but of not having the rut. I was out of my comfort zone. Later, I realized that this is the very reason most other people do not get involved in their own businesses as well.
According to Forbes Magazine, 79 million people in North America plan to start a home based business over the next 3 - 5 years. This could lead us to believe that on a global scale as many as 50 to 100 million people are looking to work from home. We can safely assume that a considerable amount of these people will not.
If you think about all the benefits of working from home, we can imagine the possibilities of how we would spend our free time. So if it sounds so great, why wouldn't we all want to work from a home based business? Most of the people that I have come across have decided not to pursue their dreams of running a home business because they are afraid of one thing or another.
Many of these fears can arise from doubts in our own abilities or fears of instability or failure. We just have to realize that these fears are absolutely normal when we start a home based business. The other thing that we must decide is that we cannot let the fear of failure make us freeze.
Since we all face these insecurities at one point or another, it is best to have someone there to support us. This way we are less likely to succumb to the fears, insecurities or doubts that come our way. We should also become as prepared as possible in order to overcome these fears and remain vigilant on the path to success.
