Marketing Strategies - Banner Advertising and How to Choose Your Placements

As a network marketer you may or may not have had the opportunity to use banner advertising as one of your marketing strategies. Placing your banner advertising images on websites needs to be done in a way that is both effective and offers a positive return on investments. Here are three things to consider when choosing your placements when using banner advertising as a marketing strategy.

Targeting

Does the website that you are going to use for your banner advertising attract the type of viewers that you want? Does it attract people who would be interested in your product or services? Remember the more targeted the placement of your banner advertising, the more effective it will be.

Quality Content

Does the website you are choosing offer the reader valuable content? Or are there so many ads on it that they would feel overwhelmed? Review the website to ensure that your potential client or customer will find quality content on the website in question. The longer a person is on a website, it is more likely that they will click on your banner advertising image.

"Above the Fold"

Most people will not scroll down a page. If the page loads and you are being billed a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) rate, you will be billed regardless if someone sees your banner advertisement or not. That is why you want to make sure that your banner advertising image remains above the fold. "Leader board" banner advertising images (ads at the top of the page) are what I have personally found work best for my banner advertising campaigns.

Following the guidance of these three things to consider when choosing placement for your banner advertising campaign, you should see an increase in traffic to your site and eventually conversions or sales.
