Economic crisis may prevent a salary increase or retirement security, however it does not prevent innovation. During the Great Depression companies such as Revlon and Texas Instruments had their start up. During the oil crisis, companies such as Apple and Microsoft began. These are the companies that have not only withstood the changing times and economic recessions yet have prospered during a time where lay-offs and pay cuts are taking over the nation.

Not all entrepreneurial businesses take flight and succeed from the very beginning. Looking online for up and coming business trends is a good way to gain ideas regarding this new career path that are sure to succeed. New businesses that are developed to meet an uprising demand are the ones that will most likely take off no matter how the economy is doing. One popular trend that is currently in high demand is the need for online marketing business entrepreneurs.

What are the benefits to starting your own business? In other words, why would you be persuaded to leave your current position and venture into an unknown endeavor? First, and most importantly in today's society, this type of business is recession proof. Successful entrepreneurs flourish in the face of an economic recession as opposed to losing income and financial security due to the fact that their trade is something needed apart from how the economy is doing. Second, you are your own boss in this type of business therefore you set your own rules and guidelines. This means that you are free to make as much money as you desire which ultimately leads to financial security now and, more importantly, in the future. Finally, you can work from anywhere with this business regimen. Work from the comforts of your own home or travel the world. Online programs are offered to assist in getting you started on a new career path therefore look online today.

However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.

It is true that with the every day gadgets, services and products that we use, it is easy to look at them just for what they are and not what they could be.
