Develop a 'Decided Heart' for Business and Personal Success

Be grateful every Monday and look at it as the new beginning it is. It's a day for planning your week, setting goals, making decisions. I usually do my analyzing over the weekend so I'm fully armed with information on Monday. The whole purpose of analysis is to come to a conclusion. In and of itself analysis isn't very powerful. It's what you do with your conclusions that counts!

And what do we do with our conclusions? First, choose NOT to procrastinate. Be passionate about your goals or problems and confront them head on. You know that your challenges are always smaller when confronted. Wasn't it William Halsey who said, "All problems become smaller if you don't dodge them, but confront them. Touch a thistle timidly, and it pricks you; grasp it boldly, and its spines crumble."

Are you touching timidly or grasping boldly? Are you eliminating all excuses for NOT taking action? Are you accomplishing things rather than "keeping busy"? Many people make the mistake of thinking that their main goal in life should be to stay busy. Wrong! The important thing is what you are accomplishing - not whether or not you stay occupied.

And, sometimes, even your best laid plans encounter a roadblock and you're forced to take a detour. Personally, I kind of like the detours! I don't think that makes me a masochist, it just means I like a little variety, enjoy a challenge, and am very often pleasantly surprised by these new encounters. Some of life's most interesting and special people and places are found when you're forced to take the road less traveled. It may be nothing more than a dirt track - and it may have a few potholes - but there is always something interesting to see or learn if you take the time to look.

We're constantly making decisions: some turn out well, others not so much. It's all part of life and the important thing is that you actually make those decisions. So, here's my task for you today: Decide to be a person of action. Get in the game. And play to win!

Finding solutions is second nature to Deborah but - getting back to that whole "trust" thing - don't take her word for it, take it from someone she's worked with:
"Deborah is the type of person you look to when you have an impossible project, impossible timeline, and so many variables you don't know where to start counting. She is the person you bring in and know it will all get done and people will walk away satisfied. How often does that happen even in the best of circumstances?"
