5+ Quick Warning Tips for you to consider if you are clicking around online trying to find the best place for you to learn Internet Marketing. I spent a year searching, so I know the frustrations. For this reason, I wanted to pass along to you some quick tips. I've recently written a couple of articles on this subject, that are much more indepth. Quick Tip #1: No ONE PERSON. One person can not teach you everything you need to learn, in terms of getting an Internet Marketing Education. It requires a select group of specialists. Just like in your school days. No one educator taught you it all. So - don't expect to learn it all from your "sponsor."

Quick Tip #2: No RICH QUICK SCHEME. This is so old school. Please guys, stop this. If you want the lifestyle that is achievable with Internet Marketing - you will have to work for it. As I've said in other articles, "Brain surgeons" do not make their income in 4-8 weeks.

Quick Tip #3: AVOID PURCHASING LEADS. Purchasing leads is NOT learning Internet Marketing. There is no future here.

Quick Tip #4: START IMPLEMENTING. JUST DO IT. I personally got caught up in the syndrome of clicking around and learning. BUT - once you find the right internet marketing mentors - STOP EVERYTHING AND START IMPLEMENTING. If you really begin to understand the power of the internet and the evolution that is happening, right now, infront of your eyes as you read this, you will STOP EVERYTHING and START LEARNING INTERNET MARKETING.

Quick Tip #5: THE BUCK STOPS HERE. Take full responsibility. Be pro-active in your learning. Search out the best within the industry to learn from.

An Additional Quick Tip (or two):

#1: HOW DO YOU KNOW WHO "THE BEST" ARE? The ones who are making it happen. The ones who are doing it. Talk is cheap. Only "Action" talks. The educator that provides an International Comprehensive Premier Internet marketing Education Curriculum that is taught by The Internet Marketing Masterminds of Today.

#2: FULL COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM. Make certain the curriculum provides learning on: the free marketing tactics, the paid tactics, provides the specialists to learn from (E.g., SEO, Google, Personal Branding, Video Marketing), includes coaching on leadership skills, covers "click-by-click" training for the newbies, and provides associations with alliances for outsourcing.

And, make certain the company embraces the philosophy of building their curriculum around providing a new skill set to ANYONE, ANYWHERE in the world, where you can learn to sell ANYTHING in the world. A company with a curriculum that will educate you on how to sell online - whether you have a product or business already, or not.

PLUS - If you want the lifestyle of an Internet Marketer, then have the faith, perseverence and tenacity. Know your "why" so during the challenging times you will be able to persevere. And, go out and find the best-of-the-best internet mastermind marketers. Then give yourself the time to learn and start implementing. And, your dreams will be achieved.

Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Business Tips - How about: Tips for managers to handle employees more effectively? Tips on how to deal with difficult customers? Tips on how to deal more effectively with suppliers? The only three I have in mind right now, but will try to come up with something else. Chris
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
