I say this to people all of the time, know one’s job is guaranteed for life.

Let me tell you a true story, a good friend of mine who love’s her job so

much she took the time out to learn everything that there was to know

about the job.

She learned so much about it, that other employee’s, including management

Would come to her if they wanted to know something, and no matter what

The problem was she always had the right answer for them.

Everybody loved her, when she came to work she always had a smile on her

Face, and no matter what you ask her to do, she would do it. Her favorite two

Words where (know problem). What ever she had to do, she put her all and

All into to it.

I asked her one time, I said Joann I know that you love your job, but dose

your Job Really love you? She said I hope so as she continued to work. I also

asked Her if She ever thought about starting a business of her own where she

would be Her Own boss instead of working so hard for someone else and

making them rich Why not take control of her own financial future.

She smile and said maybe some day Harold, I told her that she put a lot of years

Into this job she said yeah I know, She also told me her husband had retired just

Recently from his job so there income was not like it used to be and they still had

3 more kids to raise, Okay moving along Joann was looking forward to her vacation

In Sept, which was only one week away.

Now here’s when everything hit the fan. One week into her vacation her supervisor

Calls her at home and tells her that he thinks that it is time for her to retire, after

all Those years of service to there company, I don’t have to tell you how she felt.

But had she started her own business and just put in half of that same time, which

By the way was 16yrs; She probably would have left that job a long time ago..So you

never know when, but it can happen to you. What are you going do?
